I love the idea of a speakeasy and I love tiki. The space and the people were all great, as were the dumplings which come from the Chinese restaurant next door. I thought that the drinks were pretty average both in terms of presentation and...More

It has some unique drinks, and great ambiance. The drinks can be a little pricey, and the pitcher of cocktail is not an easy pour, resulting in a lot of the liquid gold to be spilled rather than consumed: nobody wins.

Great mixed drinks that you can also get in a pitcher. Good atmosphere and great music make for a nice relaxed atmosphere.

Great tiki inspired cocktail bar. This small Chinatown joint is so unexpected! Follow the pineapple neon sign and you will find hospitable bartenders in a unique decor. Good Djs later during the night.

The cocktails here are original and oh so delicious. They don't come cheap, but when you see the mastery in which they are created, you won't mind spending that extra dollar. I love how the menu also shows you the type of glass you're going...More

Le Mal Nécessaire is an underground tiki bar with unique cocktails, hidden away in Montreal's Chinatown. Trendy but super fun. If you're a Fernet lover, you'll enjoy the drink menu here! Can't wait to visit again.

I was surprised to find a Tiki Bar in Chinatown. I enjoyed the drinks and the bartender was knowledgeable. The only thing that I would critique them on is the decor as I think they need more "Tiki" decor throughout the bar, although I do...More

Bakeries, markets, restaurants, and buffets crowd the
brightly graffitied streets of Chinatown, the city's
aromatic destination for pan-Asian cuisine.
Distinguished at its entry points by towering
vermillion paifang gates, the compact neighborhood
acts as a focal point for the Chinese community,
hectic with educational facilities, cultural centers,
acupuncturists, and foreign-language newspapers.
