My husband and I enjoyed a 90 minute couples hot stone massage today. I saw Cindy and my husband saw Mbaye. Both therapists were outstanding. The spa itself is tranquil and well thought out. Treatment rooms were very comfortable - I loved the foam topped massage table. Very relaxing! I would highly recommend both therapists to anyone looking for a... More

This is a cosy place with very calm relaxing atmosphere. My experience was great. I arrived 10 min before my appointment. The door man was very pleasant. The hotel receptionist were very kind . I went directly to the Spa on the 3ed floor .The receptionist was waiting for me.and she registered me in seconds. They have a Short simple... More

I had a massage and facial at the Rainspa during a little trip to Montreal over the weekend. Best I have felt in a very long time. It was a treat to myself for my birthday so I definitely fulfilled my need for some R&R. Maria S, especially was awesome. She did my facial and WOW she knows her stuff... More

My husband and I had spa treatments on our honeymoon. I had a mud body wrap treatment followed by a couples massage with my husband. The spa was so lovely. Wonderfully friendly and helpful staff and clean and very pleasant facilities. Sunita did both of my treatments and was a miracle worker. Diana was the masseuse for my husband and... More

Visited the spa on December 30 and despite being very busy with New Years appointments, the staff maintained a calm and relaxed atmosphere. The quality of the manicure and pedicure is excellent and the esthitician was very helpful in selecting just the right shade and color combinations. I also enjoyed an express facial with lovely lotions and a refreshing mask.... More

Wow thank you Cindy, one of the best massage in years. So professional and caring. And I really appreciated your explanation of this technique.

The spa itself was very nice but we didn't like the changing floors between the dressing rooms and the spa services, that seemed strange as well the restrooms weren't part of the dressing room so you had to travel down through reception to use the restroom. Other than that, the service was great; the treatment room was bland but you... More

First off, both my wife and I loved our massages. Mihaela was a pro and her deep therapeutic massage was great. The staff was super polite and pleasant. Where did they lose major points, the facilities. This place is tiny. From the time you walk in to the reception to the time you shower (men's shower). The steam room is... More

My husband and I stayed at the hotel in November, 2016 and decided to book a massage while we were there. I have had many massages in my life due to health issues. I have to say that Vanessa L at the spa is probably the best massage therapist i have ever had. She is very knowledgeable and communicates so... More

Staying in Vieux-Montreal (Old Montreal)

Neighborhood Profile
Vieux-Montreal (Old Montreal)
The historic center of Montreal, Vieux-Port is home to some of the city's most antiquated buildings and picturesque streets. Along the waters of the St. Lawrence River, the bank of Old Port features museums, festivals, food stalls, and outdoor athletics, a celebrated part of the city that explodes into fireworks displays on warm summer nights. At its center, street performers and artists compete with sprawling restaurant terraces for space along Jacques-Cartier Square, while the cobbled streets of Rue St. Paul and Rue Notre-Dame offer a reprieve of quiet galleries and atmospheric wine bars. Horse-drawn carriages are not an uncommon part of traffic, and the narrows they traverse are lined with boutiques, crêperies, and poutine shops enshrined in buildings of stone and wooden lattices. Here you can evoke Montreal's past with a traditional cooking lesson or historical tour, then enjoy its artistic present with live music and theater.
