Relaxing Spa in the heart of Old Montreal

The spa was able to accommodate a couples message last minute. Best message yet! The spa is a few steps from the Square in Old Montreal. A nice treat after sightseeing.

I enjoyed my time at Rainspa. I had a spa ritual by Isaak, he was very good. I would recommend him for massage services. Competent, professional. Overall though, I wasn't completely impressed with the spa. The hammam wasn't something I could even go in for more than a walk in and turn right back around. Way too hot but that's... More

I was in Montreal on my honeymoon and had a massage at the Place d'Armes. Aiana gave me the most incredible deep tissue massage ever. She was clearly extremely knowledgable about musculature and her craft. So professional and yet so relaxed. I had a shoulder muscle injury and she, for all intensive immediate purposes, fixed it. I don't know if... More

I just received a fantastic mani/pedi combo from Julia and a great exfoliation and facial from Mihaela. Julia was wonderful: thorough, careful and above all, neat. My hands and feet look absolutely wonderful. Mihaela was great: knowledgeable, thoughtful and warm. My exfoliation and massage was relaxing; and my face feels fantastic. I would agree with many of the reviewers who... More

I will never pass up an opportunity to visit a spa wherever I travel. I have bad back and after flying or driving a massage is the best way to repair damage and get a good nights sleep. I wish the wonderful therapists at Rainspa were everywhere I went. They were excellent technically and very thorough. They were very attentive... More

I took my mom to Montreal for a girls trip and we used one afternoon to pamper ourselves at the Rainspa in Old Montreal. Boy was it a treat! The staff was extremely patient and warm. They made sure our time there was as relaxing as possible. Janna and Jessi gave us fantastic facials and pedicures. The massages were the... More

I was looking to a full day experience in a "wellness" spa rather than a beauty spa. I chose Rainspa after looking over other possibilities because they have a "medical esthetic" offer on their website. I had a mineral exfoliation, mud body wrap, 4-hand massage and LED-luminotherapy facial, with lunch in between. The results are rather mixed. First, the positive:... More

Let me start by saying that the ladies who gave us massages were both very good. Great Massage. The problem is that the spa is on 3 different levels connected by stairs or you can take the elevator out in the hall with the regular guests whilst you are in your bathrobe. The locker rooms are tiny. Mine had no... More

This was a treat for my mom who had never had a massage before. I booked a massage for both of us while we were vacationing in Montreal. The staff were so attentive and friendly. They were helpful with my mother who was unfamiliar with the procedure. She has arthritis and by the end of the massage was so comfortable... More

Staying in Vieux-Montreal (Old Montreal)

Neighborhood Profile
Vieux-Montreal (Old Montreal)
The historic center of Montreal, Vieux-Port is home to some of the city's most antiquated buildings and picturesque streets. Along the waters of the St. Lawrence River, the bank of Old Port features museums, festivals, food stalls, and outdoor athletics, a celebrated part of the city that explodes into fireworks displays on warm summer nights. At its center, street performers and artists compete with sprawling restaurant terraces for space along Jacques-Cartier Square, while the cobbled streets of Rue St. Paul and Rue Notre-Dame offer a reprieve of quiet galleries and atmospheric wine bars. Horse-drawn carriages are not an uncommon part of traffic, and the narrows they traverse are lined with boutiques, crêperies, and poutine shops enshrined in buildings of stone and wooden lattices. Here you can evoke Montreal's past with a traditional cooking lesson or historical tour, then enjoy its artistic present with live music and theater.
