Best after hour club experience with my friends and I. The music, sounds and the lighting are superb. They don't make $ from selling the booze because they only offer the bottle water to obey the laws. So don't complain about paying the premium for the bottle water. You have the option to drink the tab water from the restroom sink if you are on budget.

One of the best experiences I've ever had and I had heard so much positive about this club that I was expecting a lot. I've been an audio professional for 35 years and I've never heard sound like this before it's insane. The lighting the professional attitude of all of the staff including security I can see why so many international DJs say this is their favorite place to play. It really is the Mecca of the rave scene!! And the regulars are so kind and inclusive to new people so do yourself a favorite check this place out! 🔥❤️🔥

Intolerable. I took friends from the US here and I was so depressed and embarrassed. They took my GUM at the entrance because they considered it contraband aka they sell it in their vending machines and want you to buy it. Having gum confiscated out of my pocket was actually the most classically grotesque Montreal experience and it made me want to leave here and never ever come back. Policies like this are why this city is dying :(

Hello, we do not sell gum in the club at all. The reason it is forbidden is to keep the club clean. No sticky gum on the dance floor or on the benches that you sit on. We do allow mints, just not gum.

Stereo is an afterhours gem attracting top tier international DJs--more than a few have claimed this is their favorite club to spin in across North America. Think brilliant sound system and a friendly dance floor devoid of drunken antics and macho posturing (no booze sold on location helps) that seems to bring out the best in people, inspiring a certain elegance in its clientele, refreshingly respectful and cultured behavior for the club scene. If you love techno, tech house, progressive house, the works, this is your tribe. Staff is adamant about its no photos policy. What happens at Stereo stays at Stereo.

Stereo is by far the best club (be it after hours or normal hours) that you could expect from Montreal. The DJs that are hired to perform here are all amazing, with some of the best techno music one could expect, and the clientele is especially inviting: so much so that I probably spend half my time in the outdoor area just talking to people. The lighting and sound are very sophisticated, with the sound system being unparalleled as far as my experiences with techno clubs go (I haven’t been to Berlin, so correct me if I’m wrong ^^). Finally, as long as you’re not being disrespectful (I’d say this for any club quite frankly), the staff is super chill and friendly. One thing that I should add is to not bring chewing gum to the club: they will pat you down at the entrance and will throw it away if they find some on you. Don’t blame them: the dance floor is made of high quality wood that is specifically tailored to enhance the dancing experience, which means it’s very expensive, and they don’t want gum to drain the material. If this hasn’t convinced you to come for at least a night, I don’t know what will ^^

Don't waste your time here, 30-40 dollar cover fees, no running water in the dirty washrooms, drugs and dealers all over the place.
No alcohol at all, rude staff who yell at you if you ask a question.. avoid this.
There are better after hours in montreal do a google search.

I went with a big group of friends (for an after hours session) and all but me and one left after about an hr because they didn't sell alcohol and because it wasn't their vibe. But if you're a big fan of techno clubs, this is by far one of the best one's around. Amazing open and clean space, next level light show, and state of the art sound system. The DJ playing when I went was insane!! Also, loved the open atmosphere, very LGBTQ friendly. Everyone was there to dance, enjoy the music, and have a good time.

A huge space like nightclubs in NYC used to be. This spot boasts some hot parties that go well into after hours territory. The crowd is totally mixed which I love. No prejudices or issues everyone Gay, Straight, Bi, Trans, Black, White, Latino here just to dance and party like the good ole days.

The worst place in Montreal
I bought a ticket for an event on Saturday March 24 2024. I get my ticket scanned and put my coat at the coat check. I get my coat ticket number take a picture of it and put in the little pocket of my pants. I go to the bouncers that do a check up before entering I take everything out before hand. Phone , wallet , charger and headphones and put them on the basket on the side the bouncer starts checking my pants , goes through the little pocket where I put my coat ticket and takes it out violently , almost reaps , and throughs it on the basket like garbage. I said watch it when he did to prevent him from tearing it apart and the guy just raised his voice at me in a threatening manner. I had to talk tell him to calm down because he was angrily screaming at me. The guy to makes things worse threatens me to shut by saying
“ don’t tell me to calm down or I’ll beat the sh** out of you “
I was shocked , like did I just got a death threat ? , from a bouncer.
The guys boss comes out to us to intervene, I told him what happened that his employee almost broke my coat ticket.
The guys boss just looked at me and told me to take off my spiked choker and put it in my coat.
Regardless of the 84 dollars I paid for the ticket. Not only dis I felt insulted but completely unsafe by the ANIMALS that work as bouncers at that place.
I get handling a rave crowd is hard.
But death threats aren’t the way to go about it.
Never would I set foot in Stereo no more
Hope this place goes bankrupt if they keep treating people like that.

Pretty casual.... I'd wear some skinny jeans and lots of black. But really whatever you want. Just don't pull up in a button down and slacks
