To start off, Marko is a friendly, personable guy. Ask him anything, and he has clear and concise answers ready. After a few minutes of talk, he already seemed to know what was missing in making my photos okay to great! While going to several locations, his teaching in camera settings, composition and technique were invaluable! I highly recommend Marko for this photo tour and I personally want to do more tours in the future (Night photography)! A fantastic experience!

I opted for the driving tour and it was well with it! The depth and breadth of Marko's knowledge of photography is great. He gave me the tools I need to become a better photographer. He targeted exactly what I needed and adapted to my style of learning. Marko is kind, courteous and patient. I'm not a novice photographer but I'm not a professional but I did learn a lot from Marko and I highly recommend this tour!

I took both Marko's day and night photo tours of Montreal. These tours were very enjoyable and Marko took me places that I would not have discovered or known about myself. I have been shooting for a long time but badly needed to revise techniques. Marko, with his indepth knowledge of composition and photo technique, is not only a great photographer but also a great teacher. I relearned much of what I had fotgotten and also got to some wonderful locations in Montreal. I highly recommend Marko and Photo Tour Montreal.

Marko was very knowledgeable of the area and the best settings on my camera on how to take those photos. He was even able to reschedule my original appointment since the original date had such lousy weather. Recommended

Thank you Keith W! It was fun showing you a few of the lesser known photo-gems in Montreal, and I'm so glad we were able to make our
schedules work in the end. Please keep in touch.

Recommended---camera lesson with Marko in downtown Montreal. There are 3 main items to be a Professional and Marko has all 3----Enthusiasm, Technical know-how and People skills. I spent almost 3 hours with Marko for a 2 hour camera & composition lesson and came away more knowledgeable and confident with my camera than a classroom could have ever achieved. Ah, I had fun as well. No need to look any further if looking to improve your basic camera skills.

Thanks for that great write-up R M!
Easy to be enthusiastic because you were eager to soak up the tips and you were keen on the places we visited. You saw that all it takes is just a bit of knowledge and practise to make better images. May your photo journey continue for years to come and if you ever get stuck you know where to find me. Best!

My friend and I prearranged the night photo driving tour with Marko Kulik after reading his reviews online. On September 30, we visited 6 sites over 4 hours, more difficult to reach by Metro transit. He generously shared photography experiences, camera settings if needed and acted as model for long exposure motion images. This was a fun way to begin our photography week in Montreal. Also he forwarded us a link to his e-book and gave additional places to see over the week.

My sweet husband - who’s not a photographer but loves for me to get an opportunity to grow in my skills - always encourages me to take photography tours during our travels. Our tour with Marko in early August really stands out as one of the best ever. Marko is a gifted teacher and seems to be passionate about helping others to advance their photography skills. We chose to stay in Old Montreal, and Marko took us to some amazing spots with great photographic potential which we never would have found if on our own. He was the perfect balance between demonstrating how to take a technically great, well-composed, creative shot and then setting me free to experiment on my own in that spot. I asked him many questions, which he answered with clear explanation and then by demonstrating....and then letting me try. Along the way, Marko also gave us some really interesting history of the area, which pleaded my husband. I gained a lot technically from Marko’s instruction, but was also delighted to feel as though I grew in my sense of composition during our several hours together. And I am absolutely thrilled with the photos I came away with:). Thanks, Marko!

This tour was fantastic! We saw parts of Montreal that we would never have seen on our own. Marko gave me tips that were so easy to remember and to use while taking photographs. Even if we hadn't taken the tour for photography it would have been worth it just to see all these parts of Montreal. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a private photo tour. He is just so knowledgeable and so accommodating.
Worth every penny. Definitely a 5+ Thank you Marko

I connected with Marko a few weeks prior to our departure from Sarnia, Ontario to Montreal, Qc. We were heading there as a group of 9 (3 kids and 6 adults - sibling reunion). I'm an avid photographer and am always looking for a great tour that showcases not only great photography spots, but also gives a bit of history and culture and professional tips on their "version" of photography.
Marko was beyond exceptional from the moment we connected with solid communication, fair pricing and excitement to meet us and our crew and show us around.
I and my wife along with my brother in law and sister in law joined in Marko's car for a 3.5 hour driving photo tour of Montreal.
We started at the Casa Popolo (the indie cafe/bar we were staying directly above in) for a coffee and quick chat to see where all of us were with our photographic knowledge.
We then went through the Plateau, Mont Royal, Ile St Helene and other areas all sculpted together via our conversation on what our priorities were and where we wanted to focus. He also graciously took group photos of us when asked and his detail in photography education was exceptional.
Being the main guy in the group who shoots all the time, it was nice to have a lot of one on one with him to go over all of the important aspects of photography - most of which I knew already, however, a few new nuggets that I learned. It was super great for the rest of the crew who are all learning themselves. He made it simple, took the time to show us and also shot along side of us.
I cannot say enough about the communication, cost, execution and absolute fun times we had with Marko. We went over the time a bit, but I think he was ok with that due to our desire to actually learn and shoot and (although biased) because we were his greatest group EVER! lol.
All in all, worth every penny AND ensures you get great photos for your memory books/photo journals of your amazing trip to Montreal!
The BEST part (completely unexpected) was the manual he emailed to each of us after the tour. We knew we were getting one, but when I received it - being knowledgeable myself and 10 years in the photography industry as an amateur, WOW - 100 pages of unreal detail on how, when, where, what with regards to exposure and photography! INCREDIBLE!
Thanks Marko and sorry this took so long to get to. Look forward to seeing you again in the future!

We had an wonderful afternoon with Marko. He was very patient with us and did an excellent job of showing us how to use our cameras. We gained quite a bit of knowledge and he offered to follow up with any additional questions we might have. What a nice way to spend the afternoon in Montreal. I highly recommend it to all levels of photographers.

I was wondering if you had any availability on July 24 or 25th. Do you have an established tour that I could join at any point? I will be coming in on Saturday and would love to go on a photo tour.

Hi Joanne Z - I do have availability, but all tours are 100% private for a personalized custom tour. Thx!
