What a great restored mansion and tour, with tremendous depth of history and knowledge imparted by a very modern and high-tech electronic tablet that produces helpful/useful audio for each room on the tour. Best yet, on our September Wednesday morning we were just about the...More

This is, by far, the best Victorian Era museum we've ever seen. Imagine how much a rich woman could buy if that is all she had to do for more than 20 years-- this place is packed! Interesting history also, especially considering the chateau next...More

Well worth a side trip. This chateau is actually a semi-detached grand dwelling (and grandly furnished) owned by 2 brothers in the late c.19/early c.20. An historical anomaly near Olympic Park & Botanical Gardens. NB There is no line to skip.

Travellers in Montreal. Don't be lazy. Find some time and visit this chateau-museum. The place may look far but it is not. With metro it is reachable ver easily.

not "grand" as historic houses go (it is actually two dwellings, one complete, one only 'suggestively' furnished), nevertheless worth seeing and there is enough info on the ipad that it will exhaust even the most thorough history buff - that's me, and I started skipping...More
