Very unique spa with the boat concept. Really nice view on the Montréal skyline especially at night. Nice option of half price early morning or late night. The new gardens are worth the detour. And you can enjoy a nice food or beverage at the resto on the first deck. There is a nice lounge area where it's nice to... More

There may be a better Spa in Montreal, but you will never experience a vista of old port quite like the view you get from the large hot tub located at the north end of the boat. It also has a Turkish bath (steam room), multiple saunas, as well as cool baths. They recently added a larger pool off the... More

Dear "Andrew M", Thank you very much for this kind review! The views from the different hot tubs and terraces, overlooking Old Montreal and the St.Lawrence River are indeed quite impressive! In the Gardens, in addition to the pool, you can also find a sauna, a steam room, a cold plunge, a jaccuzi and many relaxation areas. We hope to... More

A fantastic way to start off our visit to Canada. Relaxing, refreshing and luxurious. What a treat. We went there at 10am. Beat the crowds and got a good rate!

The idea of a spa on a boat is genius. Clearly, a lot of thought was put in the design and and development of the theme. Space is limited therefore the garden is a great addition. I had a therapeutic massage by Léo and the quality exceeded expectations. He helped improve a problem area. My main preoccupation is that the... More

I treated myself to a 90 minute massage and was thoroughly satisfied. The water therapies are also fantastic, along with the eucalyptus steam room and sauna. You have to do the hot tub to cold tub and back again. The views on this converted boat in Vieux Montreal are stunning; you can see the city, Habitat, the old dome on... More

I was given a gift certificate for services at Bota Bota. I finally got around to using it today for a massage. I arrived at the Old Port of Montreal where Bota Bota is located and immediately knew this was something special. The spa is actually situated in an old boat that is docked at the pier in Old Montreal.... More

Can't say enough about this spa! It was my first massage ever and Dominique S. made me feel very comfortable. Definitely do the water circuit. It is worth it just to sit in the spa overlooking the city skyline!!!!!

Dear "EdgewaterChicago", Thank you for your kind review! I will share it with Dominique who is indeed a fantastic massage therapist! I can only recommend combining a massage with the water circuit. It either prepares the mind and body for a deep relaxation when done before a massage, and helps prolong the benefits when done after. And the views are... More

My partner and I are on a weekend trip away to Montreal and we decided to start it out with a relaxing trip to Bota Bota. From beginning to end the staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. The view of the city as the sun sets is marvellous. The water circuit is invigorating. There are several areas you can relax in, so even though it looks busy from the outside, it still has its intimate moments. Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighborhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
