I work very near this place so every time I had a problem with the bike I was going there to check. My first impression was ok, a polite guy attended me but all the other times there are only rude and money-driven people working there. The service is pretty bad quality because they do the service very fast to... More

We rented bikes for the afternoon. I've ridden a few bikes in my life. These were really good ones. Service was great. Ride was great. The lady at the counter graciously counted our two hour 45 minute ride as 2.5 hours. Would not hesitate to recommend. These are great bikes at a great price.

For my annual Father’s Day bike tour with my daughter I once again rented a hybrid bike from Montreal’s Ma Bicyclette, with the usual great results. As soon as we arrived, co-founder Stephanie Thompson fixed me up with one of their high quality hybrid bikes. In addition to the bike, the rental included: a helmet, a lock, and a clip-on... More

Great bike rental/repair shop. Friendly knowledgeable staff, and quality bikes for rent to enjoy your day cruising the canal or the city. They have carbon road bikes for the avid cyclists, but they also have a couple of family bikes where you can put the kids on the back rack attachment fully secured with side guards and foot rests. Kids... More

Beautiful spring day for a bike ride! I visited the Atwater Market and wandered over to the canal and saw the bike shop on the other side. What a great idea. I saw so much more of Montreal on the bike than I would have on foot. Rode down to Old Town and did lots of people watching. Rented a... More

Hats off to Dave & Stephanie, they have really grown this business into a success! I've used them for simple tuneups, guided group tours to even buying my latest cannondale bike. They are super cool and really take care if you. Can't speak highly enough of them, give them a try.

I hadn't seriously ridden a bike in years, and was nervous. I told the guy who helped us (Sebastian?) that if this was a horse, I wanted an old, slow, gentle one. Long story short, my bike was sturdy and easy to ride and we covered so much more of Montreal in a day than we had even hoped.

We researched the best places to rent bikes in Montreal and we came across Ma Bicyclette. The guys there are friendly and provide excellent and fast customer service. You can rent bikes for $10 per hour to a max of $30 for the day. All you need to do is leave your ID with them while you're riding. We renting... More

I would definitely recommend renting a bike from ma bicyclette. We rented from the new location in Old Montreal. The bikes were in good condition, perfect for riding around the city. The service from the staff was better than expected. Montreal is a "bike friendly" city so going anywhere in the city is easy and safe.

Staying in Le Sud-Ouest (Southwest District)

Neighborhood Profile
Le Sud-Ouest (Southwest District)
Once the core of industrialized Montreal, the factories and historic buildings of Le Sud-Ouest have been renovated into homes, museums, and small businesses. The rejuvenated landscape has put its Saint-Henri district in vogue, with cutting-edge galleries and an ever-expanding network of restaurants. Foodies can especially delight in the mom-and-pop shops in Little Burgundy, or at the Atwater Market, where outdoor stalls sell fresh fruit, vegetables, and meat, street vendors have menus of hot fish and wine, and the indoor market offers chocolate, breads, and coffee beans. Dominated by the gentle waters of the Lachine Canal, Le Sud-Ouest is still very much an outdoor town, with a number of pedestrian-only bridges traversing the waters, bike paths along the canal with views of the Leisure Boats, and massive green spaces like Angrignon Park to stop for a picnic, or to play a sport.
