I rented a well maintained Cannondale bike. Ma B was perfect access to a flat, well marked, mostly bike-only path along the Lachine Canal outbound to Parc Rene Levesque and returning along the St L River - a leisurely 3 hour, 23 miles RT. Great views, parks and public sculpture. Less than 1 mile lane-sharing with cars during road and path re-construction. Reserve time before/after for coffee and a gourmet snack at the Marche Atwater covered farmers market between Lionel-Groulx metro station and Ma B bike rentals.

I am from the Montréal area, and this time I came to Montréal to do a cycloton /fundraiser and found out that "Ma Bicyclette" was one of the only bike shops in Montréal renting road bikes, which is what I needed. They were a little challenging to get to answer the phone, but other than that I had an outstanding experience with them. They were very friendly and remarkably accommodating with all my special needs in regards with the bike rental. The bike was in great shape and I couldn't have asked for a better choice. They also have a wonderful Cafe that belongs to the business, where I bought a REALLY good brownie. One of the best!! The staff is super friendly and accommodating there as well. It really made my stay in Montréal special, to find out about this business and to meet both the owner and employees.

Thank-you so much for your kind review. We definitely need to improve our phone system...please accept our apologies for any frustrations you may have encountered on that end. Those darn brownies are sooo good aren't they? We hope to have the chance to work you with you again one day.

This is a first class operation. A little on the pricy side, but make up for this by supplying good quality, well maintained bikes (Cannondale), and by prorating the hourly charges, so you only pay for the time you use the bikes. Good map provided giving alternative routes along and returning from the Lachine canal, although when we were there, road construction in the area we returned from (Lachine Rapids) made the map unreliable - recommend reconfirming return routing if not staying on the canal path. No on-road biking needed on the canal path, but recommend biking on the north side to avoid the heavy industrial traffic next to the bikepath on the south side. Highly recommended.

We were visiting Montreal, and one of our bikes needed a new gear cable and a new brake cable. We went to Ma Bicyclette because it was the closest repair shop to where we were staying, and it also had good reviews. The repair technician couldn't have been nicer, and he did a great job on the repairs. There were two bikes in front of us, and he still had the repairs done in 45 minutes, and for a very reasonable price.

Don’t seem to answer their email or return phone calls. But the bike was well maintained and served its purpose.
