Visited United dance club in Montreal on a Friday night. The music was great, three different areas where you can dance. Each one has a DJ playing variety of music. Cost to get in $8, plus jacket $2.50, one beer cost $8, plus additional tip. Overall, music was good.

What a dump. Bouncer outside said come in for a drink...we debated, he was so pushy and said come inside for a free drink and handed us two tix. We went in, paid $8 each for coat check and went and grabbed a drink at the bar with the tix the bouncer gave us. All good until 20 mins later - we were approached on the dance floor and told we had to pay for the drinks. What?! They claimed the tix were for free entry, not drinks... fine. Let us pay for the drinks but want the money back for entry. Nope. They offered us line by pass the next night. Are u kidding me?! We will NEVER be back. As i said...what a dump.

I went here for a bachelorette party and soon realized that this was not the place for us! First of all, there was a guy on the street pushing people into the club (first sign- if unity was really the place to be what would be the need for a guy on the street trying to get people to go in?). At 12:30 on a Saturday night this place was dead! We tried to make the best of it but were harassed by the staff when we got cold on the terrace and tried to wear our jacket l. I noted guys were wearing long sleeve shirts and this was not a problem but only was it a problem when the girls decided to cover up- this seems like sexual harassment to me. Club was unoriginal, outdated, and dirty. Let’s just say this club was seen better days! Save you time and money and go somewhere else!!

Hello there, I'm kinda surprised by your statements while we received about 700 people Saturday, for me that is a hell lot of people for any usual nightclub! Please note that it's a politic that no one is allowed to wear jackets in the club for security reasons. Also note that we got around 27 degrees Celsius last Saturday, wondering how you wanted to bring your coats inside. And be sorry cause our staff is gay, so they might not had been interested to you at all... To say that Unity club is "outdated and dirty" is untrue since a lot of money had been invested for the past 3 years and still be invested in order to offer a different environment then most other clubs in Montreal. It is also completely untrue cause I remember you when you visited the club, we didn't pass the front lobby since you didn't wanted to comply to our politics by leaving your jacket at the coat check, so how can you assume what you are saying about the Unity?

I went during the pride weekend during Fierte Montreal. It cost $12.5 just to enter this place, usually it costs twice as much. The price was very steep but I accepted it because this was one of the top rated gay clubs in the country. When I entered the club I found that 90% of the people there were women 5% were straight men and the others were gays. I was so excited to enter such a highly regarded gay club but it ended up being a damn straight club which made me very mad. It was honestly the most disappointing part of my trip to Montreal.

Hello there, Depending on the day you came, possibly that was during a lesbian event. Keep in mind that we are an inclusive nightclub as our name state: Unity. We are not making distinction on people who want to join us for party, we are not a discriminative nightclub, especially during Pride weekend where everyone is welcomed to celebrate with the community. There was so many parties in town during Pride weekend that might had pulled men elsewhere. Several time during year we offer niche events: men only, bear nights, fetish/leather event, lesbian parties just to name a few. Giving a 1 star is pretty rude cause your appreciation is only based on which sexual orientation of the crowd that came during a single specific night. It doesn't give any feedback about the place, ambiance, music, terrace neither staff. Please, be assured we are well supporting the LGBT community by having a wonderful gay staff and a wonderful gay clientele throughout the year. :)

... the view from the roof terrace bar is fantastic. If you'd rather talk than dance, the roof terrace is the place to be. The drinks weren't great though, I ordered a long island iced tea and it was served in an old fashioned glass. Short Island Iced tea. Normally you know you'll get good value for money with that particular cocktail, but not in this case!
