Earlier reviews weren't kidding, it's pretty bad. Promising dystopian movie set. Few interesting rides, disrepair.
Earlier reviews prepared us for an underwhelming experience, and La Ronde delivered just that. Previous experiences at other Six Flags had given the impression there's little to no effort made in story, but for teens & tweens there'd be plenty of thrills to offset that. Not so much. Effectively five rides that deviated from the spinners for older kids were operational most of the day. Those filled up very quickly. As others have said, the flash pass is very expensive. Since there are so few rides, if you really want to ride them all two or three times more, it could be worth it. For us, we prepped the kids in advance it'd probably be a relatively short day. We pulled the rip cord accordingly once the new ride excitement was gone. There are a number of former attractions that have clearly been removed and not replaced. Fairly clear that's an economic decision that I'm sure the short summer Montreal season doesn't help. Still, considering the park controls the north end of the island, pretty much solely, you'd like to think they could find a use for the extra real estate beyond crab grass and fenced off ruins. Among the sad commentaries days gone by is a former pop-a-shot style basketball setup, fallen into disrepair you walk by any time you're headed to the west park. You'd think you could at least demo it. But no, like the Expo-era now closed food court it just slides into disuse. To the good, if someone's looking for a dystopian theme park for a zombie movie set, not a lot of modifications would be required. Did it, won't be back.

Be prepared for loooong lines in hot sun
Very understaffed. Line to get in was over an hour and so many kids were cutting the line but there were no security or park staff to monitor this. Waited in line for 90mins for food because every food kiosk was understaffed, usually with only one person behind the counter to serve 50+ people in each line. Also, ride operators looked unhappy and often didn’t try to fill ride seats, so the wait time was even longer than it should have been. Poor management overall. I have been going to LaRonde since I was a kid and I must say that it is getting worse every year. Six flags has ruined what used to be a great amusement park.

    La Ronde Experience
Fun rides. The lineups for the rides were not too busy at all. Guess it depends on the day ; we went on a Thursday. Start at the back and make your way back to the front gates. To avoid the expensive parking and wait time for entering and exiting the parking lot, we took a bus 769 to/from the Papineau metro station which dropped us at the front doors of La Ronde. Metro and bus were only $7.00/adult return and kids are free. Food prices almost comparable to restaurant prices. Plenty of food vendors to select from. Overall, we had a good day.

Don't go. It is horrible. Rides broken, dirty, no water, rigid uncaring staff. HORRIBLE. No signage for parking., so you don't know what exit to take. If you exit at the wrong spot, they make you line up again just to get out at the right spot. No water stations. They do a cash grab of $4.50 for a bottle of water and the machines were all empty. The staff will watch you waiting in a long lineup and never bother to mention that there are restrictions.

We booked our time to arrive for 1 p.m but the park was already packed like sardines as the rides were just gearing up. My husband and son waited in line for the first ride which took a full hour. We then went for food when they were finished on that ride at 2 p.m. waited in line for the food about 20 minutes. It was over priced… So then we went to the next ride and it was a half hour wait where my son, daughter and husband enjoyed some fun. I am pregnant so managed to find a bench nearby where some people without masks practically pushed me off the bench trying to squeeze on it next to me when the other side of the bench was empty.. Then we went to the splash ride which my husband and son waited 2 hours in line for and no benches available nearby so I stood while pregnant for the full 2 hours while some non masked groups pushed up against us like sardines. It was finally time to get some food and the selection was limited which after waiting for 45 minutes in line we received hot ice tea and pretty friken cold poutines… 4 poutines, 4 drinks cost us $62… for the quality I wouldn’t have paid half of that. Finally a seat was available that we grabbed immediately. Then my husband and son went to the swing ride and waited another good half hour before they got on. We called it a day at 7:30 but it was not a lot accomplished in the several hours there with a sea of un-masked people.

Went twice in 2023, prices at an all time high and value a low. For fright fest, spent almost 2 hours to get into the park, paid haunted houses were booked up hours before closing and lines ups at rides and for dinner were prohibitive.

The 2024 season needs new attractions, more staff and less price gouging.

I would rate this worse than terrible if I could. It was the CRAPPIEST Laronde visit ever! I DO NOT RECOMMEND. The park was only open from 1 - 8pm making for a short 7 hour window to visit. It cost my family of 4, 230$ to just get in, and park the vehicle, plus the overpriced crappy food. We waited in line for over an hour just to get into the park. Halfway through the time of our visit, we had only done 2 rides. My kids only got to do 7 rides, and this wasn't even the big rides! When we got hungry it took another hour to wait in line (with maybe 5 people in front of us) to just get two slices of pizza, only to arrive at the counter and be told they were out of the pepperoni and cheese pizza, and out of half their drinks. My partner ordered a beaver tail and they were out of toppings for that kind and they still wanted to charge him the same price!! Staff working the counters were moving as slow as molasses with NO concept of customer service or organization. It was a mess!! I do not foresee returning for many years. Waste of my money and time. DO NOT GO

I do not understand how a public amusement park can have water fountains closed and hot water in the bathroom sinks in order to avoid having people avoid refilling water bottles. With the lines and alternative (to buy a small water bottle for 4,75 CAD) this can lead to heat stroke and health issues for people who cannot access water. Any business licensed on public land should give people the right to access toilets and water fountains in Canada. Also, I cannot understand how bringing food from home is not allowed, especially in light of the completely unhealthy and frankly scandalous alternatives.. pizza with French fries? A half hallow refillable soda cup where now sugar free alternatives (or only one) is available? Finally, if one cannot bring in any food from home, and all must be consumed from vendors inside in plastic containers, how are there practically no recycling bins? I am scandalized that Montreal grants Six Flags the right to run this public venue in these conditions. The situation is getting worse and there is no reason to maintain their license considering it’s potential health hazards and general lack of attention to the well being of its customers. I will not be retuning until there is some serious changes in these policies.

My family of five including three young children went to this park during our visit to Montreal. My wife and I have been to many amusement parks including Disneyland , Disney World, Universal Studios, Canada's Wonderland, and others. I obviously do not expect most amusement parks to keep up with Disney. However we do normally enjoy a visit to Wonderland in Toronto. This Park however was a horrible experience. Park is not clean, staff is inexperienced and rude. It is incredibly overpriced and a lot of the rides were closed after we had paid the admission. I kind of felt like I was visiting class action park( feel free to Google that) Considering how inattentive and ill prepared the staff were, I felt uneasy on the rides. Example of the staff ec3perience: After winning a toy ball for my daughter, she was stopped by one of the staff telling her she was not allowed to play with the ball in the park. Finally, The park is not well laid out, it is not in a circular fashion, you need to double back and retrace your step to exit the park. There are FEW large Maps allowing for navigation through the park making it a bit of a mystery to navigate. Steer clear of this place. There are many great things to do in Montreal. This is not one of them.

Drove from Ottawa. Entry cost $250 for family of 4 and only three activities performed during day as most major rides (ie. big wheel/boat/ roller coaster) were closed for the day.

Totally unacceptable

As other reviews note the park is old and dated. Unfortunately there are no other options around so it seems that management is willing to accept the poor state of the park and customer service.

Food options very limited, very expensive snd not healthy. You are not allowed to bring your food in. Year to year it doesn’t change.

Most people eating poutine as that is the cheapest option compared to all others. Small Bottle of water is $4.50.

Rides are old, in poor shape, rough, and one ride was broken down 2x on the same day. Many rides are not open and have simply been abandoned. Many buildings closed or in disrepair or look abandoned.

If you are doing renos do that in the pre or post season not in the middle of the season.

All employees are young kids who don’t care.

So I wish I had read the reviews before we went. We arrived 10minutes after opening on a Wednesday morning and had to wait 1H5, ur on line to get in(and all tickets must be purchased online prior to arrival). We waited 1hr-2hrs(yes 2hrs for 2 coaster) for each ride. We got into the the park at 1145a and left at 445p only getting on 3 coasters. And we went from 1 ride directly to another
The staff is nice but not enough. Most coasters have only 1 car so it’s a slow process. Took 45min to get hamburgers for lunch. Lots of old out of service rides still on the property. The price was pretty cheap, around $40 but it was a waste of a day. If you to walk around and play games may be ok but if you go for rides, like us, terrible experience
