Despite the woeful traffic jam getting into the casino parking lot on the weekend, my wife and I celebrated a much needed break over the Labour Day weekend. The main entrance to the casino is well lit and has a very lively party vive featuring live music and show girls. Dealers at the tables were super friendly and professional and only made fun of my loyalty to my beloved Toronto Maple Leafs when I boasted! Multiple level gaming is available and there is a bar on every floor. Don’t miss visiting the fine restaurants upstairs as our meal at Le Montreal featured aged steaks cooked to perfection and a welcoming staff who made our evening extra special. Folks in Quebec ( we are from Ontario) are super friendly when one makes an effort to speak the native tongue so be sure to stop by if you like to gamble. Note to roulette players: The awful trend of triple zero roulette wheels (ala Niagara Falls) has not yet been embraced here, thus your odds are slightly better.

Always fun ringing in the new year at the à casino de Montreal!
I've been going for 3 years straight and it's always a crazy party for all ages (18+ of course). If you're out of ideas on what to do for the new year, I suggest giving this a gander. There's party hats, light up glasses, light up headbands, DJs, dancers and everything you could want to light up the party!
There are restaurants you can come eat, there is always a line up unless you have a reservation.
Pros:Free water/juice/soda/coffee
Free shuttles to take you to and from the parking to the casino.
Great music/DJ
One downfall I've seen every year is how crowded it gets! It gets so packed on the main floor level that sometimes you can't even move! People will step on your feet or vice versa. And most of the time you'll have nice people who apologies, but other times you encounter such rude people who think their entitled to just push and run right through everyone, causing people to push each other and almost fall.
One thing I would suggest is finding another way to manoeuvre the beverage line. The line of where to enter and where to exit needs to be controlled. Also having lids for the drinks would be great. While people are making their way through the crowd, there's a huge chance they'll spill their drink on someone with no lids. Squishing through multiple crowds with hot coffee cup in your hands is a law suit waiting to happen lol!
Despite those people it's a ball during the countdown to a new year.

Full disclosure: my partner and I are NOT big gamblers at all. We went just to check it out and we had a great time!
We played some slot machines (fun, didn't win anything!), had a drink at the bar and listened to some free, live music.
We walked around a couple of times and just enjoyed the bustling atmosphere and people watching.
It was fun! So glad we went. I can't really comment on what the card games are like for those who ARE gamblers, but for a fun night out, it suited us just fine!

This has to be the worst casino in the world.
It is government owned and you really feel like dealing with customs agents all the time.
I consider myself a high roller beimg a Wynn/Encore regular and travelled around the world casinos. Usually play average 3k to 5k a hand. Can go up to 10k
List of griefs:
No valet Parking since Covid
No touching the cards in Baccarat
No craps
Pay for all your drinks
No surrender in BJ
Arrogant pit bosses
Miserable dealers
Private VIP area now open to all the public
Zero customer service
You leave to smoke 5 minutes in BJ can't get back to the table
I lost 20K and they made my daughter seating next to me pay 2.75$ for a bottle of water...
I forget other details but overall I would prefer to spend 3 hours at the border customs then spending another 10 minutes in this jpke of a casino.
Arrogant. Under qualified. Bad vibes. Ugly setting. Customs are more pleasant.
Please save your time and don't go.
For poker players Playground is 1000 times more pleasant as an experience.
For gambling play online. At least your drinks are free...

The casino feels more like a club. As you walk in you see hundreds of drunk teenagers dancing till late with extremely loud music to fill the whole surrounding. I dislike the idea of live concerts when the idea is gambling and not live, loud music for everone. If would like to concentrate on your bets it could be impossible with those concerts right in the middle. I feel intimidated by so many people screaming to the music. Its missing table games, the floors are sky high and the smoking areas hard to find.. you could very easily get lost and the payouts on slots are set to a minimum. Bathrooms are hard to find and you will have a hard time just getting around. They mix this clubbing environment with gambling and that was a total turn off. Why can they push this live concerts in another building or at least make one is not understandable. Because the building is sky high walking or taking the stairs late at night is terrible you risk accidents all the time. They need to build something more realiable. Easier access to the different sections. The table minimums are sky high and always full if you want to go for a couple of bets "good luck" finding a table. As you walk around it seems that comfort zone was placed as their last bet because There isn't one.

Well, going to the casino, proved to be a complete waste of time. You need reservations to be put where they want you to go. Completely void of hoopla, everything is closed off. No fun at all. Like walking into a morgue. security everywhere to make sure you don' dare venture into another empty pavillion.
Its worst than airport security. When we first entered you wash your hands and then they have you remove the masks if you are wearing a wire. ????? What.
Watched like a hawk! Games rigged now to make up for lost revenu. 1 machine per 4 being used. No choices at all.
Will not be going back. The bars are better than this.

I spent 40 minutes to come to MTL Casino by car at 5pm just to be redirected at one of its outside parking lots situated 10 minutes away. I mean, come on, it is just 5pm; how full is your inside parking space lot. Then at the P4 parking, I have to wait in line to get in their bus to get back to the Caisno. Way to go to waste my time before milking my money away...
Will never come back to Mtl casino after this experience. Worst experience by far, compared to any other renowned cities.

This used to be one of my favorite spots prepandmeic. Went there today only to discover the casino has gone a bit lame.
The lights and entertainment is less and the views down while going up the stairs are less interesting and blocked by walls and partitions.
It also seems to me that casino is now 90% slot machines, the tables of two floors are fully shut down forcing people to get packed on few tables on the second floor.
Many other games like Keno, the wheel, the horse race are all gone!
Very sad, the casino definitely has a long way to return to its former glory.

Nice venue with indoor underground parking …. Free.
Quick access to and from downtown.
Free live shows on Fridays and Saturdays in common entrance bar area.
join their reward program for free and they often offer bonus money to start gambling.

The Casino is beautiful and very nice, but the “buffet” is not good at all. We went twice recently and the..roast of beef was too cook, the rice..mushroom and shrimp dishes, were cold, 🤨🤨 and worse my friend came back sick after eating the shrimps😨 certainly not anymore what it was before.

Hi guys if someone is ind enough to help me.i am
Going here for my bday on the 31st 2019.
To ring in the New Years
Is it extremely crowded, do we need to buy tickets and is there a long wait line to get in or can we just arrive around 11 pm?
Thank you for taking the time to answer.

The four restaurants are extremely crowded during the holidays, in particular Xmas Eve, Xmas, NY Eve and NY’s Day. Normally they don’t take reservations until they are full. Then, you wait in line u til you reach the Maitre D’s desk and they will then assign you a seating time. So, get in line early, say around 10AM for lunch or around 3 PM for dinner/supper.
