    Good Art Good Memorial
This guy is beloved in this town and this mural is very well-executed. It is very tall and on the side of a skyscraper, displayed in a way that you can see it from Mont Royal as well as from some streets downtown. Good art, good memorial.

Spiritual experience - well, at least really good.
I walked 30 minutes each way from Old Town listening to Cohen music to get in the right frame of mind. The mural itself is so intricate and well done. The neighborhood is great. Well worth effort any side trip needed to see it.

    One word: Amazing!
Really beautifully done. The only issue I might have is that it’s me of the last photos of him, but he was an interesting guy for a long time and so they could have done photos of him in different stages of his life from say 30 yrs onward but it still works as it is. Definitely a fitting tribute to his amazing legacy.

Leonard Cohen was a Canadian singer-songwriter, poet and novelist born in Westmount, Mtl, Quebec. His work was a lot about religion, politics and personal relationships. Cohen was inducted in the Canadian Music Hall of Fame and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. He died on November 7, 2016 at 82 years old. Famous song was Alleluia. On this 20 storey building on Crescent St., a bit north of Ste-Catherine you can see a towering mural commemorating Leonard Cohen. This art of work can be seen as far as from Mont-Royal Mountain facing the south as you look down. It is a very special towering mural that means a great deal to the family and Montreal locals because he was born in this city and accomplished a lot in his career.

We were sitting in Crescent Street having a couple of pops. Our local friend looks up and noticed the mural first. Actually, he didn't even know there was one, and he lives in Montreal!!!
It's a very nice tribute to a Canadian icon.

This mural is easily seen from the street but also within the Museum of Beaux Arts and it is moving. His music is such a representation of his soul.

You can find this huge portrait on the wall of one of houses in Crescent Street. It is a beautiful piece of public artwork.
(I read that The mural took two artists, 13 assistant artists, 240 cans of paint and thousands of hours of work. Cohen portrait measures a 1100 sq. ft. WOW!)

Stand at the intersection of Rue Sherbrooke and Rue Crescent, just down the street from the Museum of Fine Arts, and view this outstanding tribute to Leonard Cohen. The mural is 20 stories tall, and you cannot miss it. It’s detail is striking. When you look at the mural, you can almost hear him sing “Hallelujah”. It is a fitting tribute to one of Canada’s most prolific poets, novelist, and singer/songwriters. Seeing the mural brought a smile to my face.

Inaugurated on the first anniversary of Leonard Cohen's death, this 20 storey tall mural is part of the city's memorial to the singer and writer. It truly captures the essence and modesty of a great man.

We stayed around the corner from the mural. It was a nice visual reminder of a great talent. You can see it from Mont Royal lookout.

This mural of a Montreal icon is beautifully done, and in the late afternoon, when the sun is on it, there is an almost magical glow to it. There are lots of restaurants and cafes on this street, so it was a really nice experience to have a late lunch and take some pictures of the mural.
