Visited the Anne of Green Gables Chocolate store at Cavendish. My wife and I were the only people in the store. Store is very clean and well laid out.
When I asked the price of the chocolates I was amazed $1.99 for each small chocolate.
This would equate to around $60.00/lb. As good as chocolates are the are not that good. We did not purchase any because of the price. With tourism low one would think they would lower their prices to encourage business.
I have no idea what connection Chocolates have with the tale of Anne of Green Gables. This is a tourist trap.

The chocolate caramels are good but you are paying a premium for the Anne of Green Gables name. Okay for fans of the series, but there’s certainly better chocolate out there.

When visiting PEI it is a *must* to check out the various LM Montgomery attractions located throughout the island and, yes, one of those is the Anne of Green Gables Chocolate Shop(s)! While visiting this past summer, my partner and I checked out two of these delightful little shops: the one in Charlottetown and the one in Cavendish. The Charlottetown location is larger, but beyond the space differential they’re basically the exact same; that is to say, they carry the same amazing chocolates and other sweet treats.

Upon entering, probably the first thing you’ll notice about Anne of Green Gables Chocolates is the fact that it is spotless – the floors are very neat and tidy and the chocolates are beautifully arranged. As well, there are many a free sample to be had, including house-made fudge and the ever-famous chocolate dipped potato chips! Delicious!

As others have pointed out, the prices are a little high, but you’re paying for a quality product. All of the chocolates – from the peanut brittle, Cavendish creams and the chocolate sweeties – are hand-made. You’re not getting mass produced cheap products here. Because of that, these shops are ideal places to stop for gifts and souvenirs for chocolate lovers. My partner and I purchased a few small boxes to take home and give away.

In short, Anne of Green Gables Chocolates is a must visit for anyone visiting PEI. Not only are the chocolates of the highest quality, but you also get to pay homage in a fun way to one of PEI’s literary and cultural icons. Admittedly after we watched the Anne of Green Gables musical we couldn’t help but purchase ourselves a bottle of Raspberry Cordial! Thumbs up and recommended!

We enjoyed shopping here, trying on the Anne of Green Gables hat with red braids attached... We bought dark chocolate sea salted toffee, peppermint patties (gifts we didn't get to try), salt water taffy, beaded raspberries and blackberries (excellent, soft and so good), chocolates with sprinkles on them, raspberry cordial (a must for all Anne of Green Gables fans), and truffles in little boxes as gifts. I should say the taffies were the only disappointment, as they stuck to the wrappers and were hard to eat (even after trying them in the fridge), but everything else was delicious and I would highly recommend this place. Prices are reasonable, in fact the cordial is cheaper here than at Green Gables, itself.

Dark, milk or white! Your choice. Actually bought some chocolate for our cruise room stewards and for our Aunt. Wonderful choices & tasty samples. Within walking distance from the cruise pier in Charlottetown.

Very interesting, the staff dresses in 1800 style clothing and serves all different varieties of chocolate samples! Also a large glass window allows you to watch all the chocolate being made while your standing in the store trying to decide what you should buy! Who doesn't like chocolate?

Wow! I have traveled a lot of places that claim to have good chocolate, but I have to say PEI has the very best! This is an adorable store, and the scent draws you in from outside! I love the costumes, the samples, the products... I recommend it!

Just a bunch of touristy and souvenir stuff. Chocolate was not anything special. Probably worth a stop if you are walking around town.
