Great walking and tourist area all around

Dinning, great harbour views and park are nearby. Those curious about history will be pleased. Took some great photos here both day and night time.

The last review seemed to suggest that the Founders Hall history exhibit was open. There is nothing in there other than a tour group office and a fast food restaurant. We went there to see the exhibit. Don't bother, but do eat seafood close by at Water Prince restaurant!

The Hall is closed because the new owners of the building didn't want to subsidize this site. It was very disappointing because it was listed as a Gem in the BCAA 2016 tourist guide. I went about 10 years ago with my daughter and thoroughly enjoyed the interactive displays. Province House is also closed because it is being renovated.

This place gives you a good overview of confederation, it's a good thing to check out first before diving into the city and surroundings. I found it entertaining and useful. I recommend it for people who aren't firmiliar with the history of confederation.

We were told in the Visitor's Centre next door that Founders Hall is closed down and they have no plans to reopen it. Apparently the visitor numbers have dropped steadily for years making it no longer worth operating.

Nice place to stop for information on PEI. It has a small gift store but it is not remarkable. There are much better gift stores in Charlottetown with more unique items. The historical museum/history walk is informative but may not hold younger children's attention. Washrooms are clean. There is a small restaurant that I did not try out as it... More

This was an awesome place to tour before the cut backs and changes but it's still good to see but costly for families on very tight budgets and hyper and young children because of historical articles that could get broken

The Visitor’s Information Center can’t be missed; the current year is installed in red iron art in front of the entrance. It’s a great place to gather maps, brochures and to speak to local representative about questions on PEI history, outings or anything you might want to know. There is also a gift shop with all local wares in the... More

it gives you the bare bones of what you need but there is much untapped potential in this place. I keep hoping it will deliver on more things!

Founders hall is a great meeting place for tourists. It has the history of Charlottetown and loads of information which people seek when visiting PEI.
