Go for the ice cream ...

Just go for the ice cream. The factory tour it is not a big deal. The gift shop is nice but I found the merchandise overpriced.

Try to get here early on a weekday for the factory tour. We were here at 3:30, too late to see them making ice cream (they were cleaning the equipment) but we did see them screen-printing the shirts, which we found quite interesting. And there were helpful videos to explain the steps in each area, for the shirts, ice cream,... More

it was neat to stop here. the tour was not open as we were there on sunday so there was no one working. we still got to walk through and see the machinery and the huge cheese area. was interesting. had some ice cream and a picture with the big cow

Cows offer a self guided tour which we found quite interesting . There was a window to watch screen print being applied to their t shirts as well as a window to watch employees making the ice cream. Big gift shop attached. Tour was free

Their "tour" is just a 5-minute video and then three windows - 1 into the t shirt shop, 1 into the cheese aging room (nothing happening here), and one into one room of ice cream shop. No explaination about how ice cream is made or anything like that. And no free samples at the end. This is basically a gift... More

The tour covers the basics of the operation but is not very detailed. The history of COWS Creamery is interesting. And then the ice cream...it truly is the best ice cream I've ever had. It was worth almost 2000 miles (one-way) of driving!

Excellent, creamy and delicious ice cream, tour was self guided, short and sweet. Very comical and colourful cow t-shirts.

I really struggled with rating this one. I knew that it was a self-guided tour going in, but this was really a nothing - we saw a few empty rooms - no real description of what goes on or anything like that. To be fair - the gift shop is huge, the ice cream is great. We went back all... More

This all seemed a little underwhelming. We were really excited to see and learn about the process in which the ice cream is made. The first area is all about how they make the shirts. The second area showed how they add flavour to the ice cream and the third area had a video about the cheese with a glass... More

The ice-cream is lovely and they make the waffle cones as you watch. The cheese is great too and it's good to know it's all locally sourced and produced. The shop has some funny cow / moo / udder pun related merchandise (mostly tee-shirts) which make great novelty gifts. Unfortunately the tour isn't actually a tour... It's a viewing gallery... More
