Really pleasant walk back in time, to us anyway.
Most properties are very well maintained although some have seen better days and in need for a lot TLC.
Anyone with time to spare should take in the ambience of the area and it is easy to see this on the way to Victoria Park and back.

Lovingly restored collection of homes cobbled together to be a hotel- very nice "continental" breakfast, great central location to Victoria Row and Province House (should it be open)

Very scenic, architecturally interesting buildings. Even better if you’re able to stroll around without cruise ships passengers on their souvenir search.

Can't say enough good about this block as I live on it and never regret (since 3 years); hope it doesn't change; lovely year round.

We had a couples weekend here. it is a beautiful hotel, with great old decor. My only complaint is, housekeeping at the vacuums going at 0900 outside our room on a Sunday. I guess they knew we would be up since the church bells went off before 9 AM as well.
other than that, a great stay.

We wandered down Great George Street taking in the old historic houses, the Basilica, and the SDU building which is now home to the St Dunstan’s university board of governors. It’s just a gentle stroll away from the bustling Queen Street, and runs all the way down to the waterfront with its selection of cafes and restaurants. A well spent half hour.

We walked down George Street Historic District while in Charlottetown from the Port when on a Holland American cruise. Very easy walk and a must to see the St. Dunstan's Basilica and the old homes along the way. I have attached a picture from along the way.

This is a lovely old town with attractive architecture that transports the visitor to another time where homes were elegant. Wander round with a camera to take in the romantic atmosphere and lots of photos.
