While on a quick trip to Windsor, we stopped by the Riverfront and walked along 2.6km of the river walk. There are lots of sculptures to look at and even a few playgrounds along the way. It’s a nice family area as there is plenty...More
Title sums it up. Very nice walk with nature being highlighted by the river thru the city’s great work in having amazing plants along the walkway. Plus, dozens of geese were enjoying being able to graze freely which was nice to watch. The air smelled...More
My family went to the riverfront and were pleasantly surprised not only with the elaborate playground but also with the beautiful skyline view of Detroit. The grounds were neatly manicured and there was ample enough parking. A great way to spend the afternoon with your...More
Taking a walk along the river is so peaceful, watching the boats and ships go by. We liked the morning with a cup of coffee. So relaxing prior to returning to Caesars Casino for a nice breakfast. If it is a little cool a sweater...More

Actually being here in (just across the border) Windsor and not biased by living here from birth, I say there is lots to do. Again his age does determine the length of things to do. Start with the great view from anywhere at the riverfront. you can't miss the main street. Further East along "Riverside Drive" there are many places to park and take a quick look around. Bundle up. Kids like looking at where they came from another side of the river. Plenty of places like Mcd's or Tim Horton's for a warm hot chocolate. If teen also have free wifi. If you head south down "Howard Ave" you can't miss the large mall. "Devonshire" mall good place this time of year even to mall walk and the food court now is sooo much better. I found it a great place to just catch up with my teen. Huge safe place to let them roam a little alone if they want a little space. If younger, you have to check out the toy store across the street, next to Mcd's called "mastermind toys" . Loads of books and traditional and trendy toys. You can google other places just out in the "county".
Colasantis is a green house with fun " arcade place" now. games and mini golf (inside). check out "Jack miners" down the road. Google orchards for Feb events.
Hope this helps
