As a neighbourhood resident, I visit this lovely urban park almost weekly throughout the year. Very popular with young families and those having outdoor birthday parties. Each season has a different feel to it, and each it's own beauty. Look for various types of birds (ducking from the red-winged black birds in spring is a fun activity), rabbits, amphibians.....and twice I've seen coyotes.....once at 5:30 am (2 of them rough-housing) and once in the middle of the afternoon (keeping out of sight in the grass.....although I obviously saw it). But don't worry....your chances of seeing one are practically nil.

There is a water area, swing area, seesaw, two slides, sand pit, etc. The only thing missing are climbing structures. The slides are made of thin metal so they could be hot in the sun.
It is connected to bicycle paths.

There are washrooms and drinking fountains.
There are also areas of shade in case the sun is too hot. There is no WiFi.

The park has picnic tables and lots of grass for suntanning.

There is a whole nature area with walking trails and ponds. You can see/hear birds, turtles and frogs.

This is a beautiful park in downtown Toronto. We visited Corktown to see the street art and walked to this park on the way home. It is a peaceful spot where they have planted many native shrubs and plants. There are places where the city completely disappears and you seem to be in the wilderness. There are playgrounds and even a water feature that children would love in the hot weather. A great place to visit if you want to escape for a while in Toronto.

The site of Corktown Common was formerly industrial lands that have been transformed into a beautiful park with a variety of different 'rooms' to explore. There is a playground and splash pad for the children and extensive walking trails that take you through a variety of different areas including a marsh, extensive lawns, prairie landscape, forested areas, seating areas, washrooms etc. A lovely place to visit within the city close by the Distillery District and easily accessible by TTC

We were looking for a small park to enjoy in downtown Toronto and came across Corktown Common on the map. It is in a developing part of the city, and the park itself is somewhat of an oddity. On one side it feels very industrial, with a busy highway nearby, trains passing on the Go corridor and planes heading for the island zipping overhead. On the other side, it has a great little marsh area, and a great play area for the kids. On the whole, it is one of the more interesting parks in the city, as it incorporates so many different elements, and from trains to planes to playground to marsh, it is great for the kids.

I am guessing that this is an area that is subject to a rejuvenation project and it’s working. Great Park with children’s play areas and toilets. Unfortunately the toilets were locked and that was about 10.30am on a Sunday morning.

I came here recently to watch the Movie in the Park- “A League of their Own.” Lovely little park in the east end. I will definitely return for another movie.

Really nice play area for kids. Swings, sand, slides and a spray area for hot days. My two year old could have spent hours there. I'll be bringing him back next time we are out that way. And it's free

Not a ton of things to do here but it's a great little park to stroll around in. Has a big slide, splash pad, decent swing set and a few other thing for kids to mess around on. Also connects directly to the Don Valley trail which is convenient and you'll see a lot of commuter traffic next to this area. They recently removed all fencing/blockage of the area next to this park that was used for the panam games so it's a good time to get out and check this area out while taking a look at the park too.

Nice little park in newly redeveloped area in downtown Toronto just beside where the Athlete's village was located for the PanAm games. Playgrounds and a small splashpad for children. Good free activity to do on a hot summer day. Best accessed using transit or park nearby on King St or Queen St. and walk.
