Each summer when I am in Toronto I walk past the lighthouse going from Hanlon's Point to Center Island or Ward's Island. A nice walk when the weather is nice.

You can quickly see this when walking from Hanlon's to Wards or vice versa. Not really much to see except take a quick photo. There is a bit of interesting history on a placard.

We visited the islands the first day they were open again. I really wanted to see the lighthouse but when we arrived the area around it was flooded. There was tape up so we couldn't go near it. Such a shame that we couldn't even...More

You can't go inside unless it's open for a special occasion. Cute little lighthouse, just like the pictures. Easy to find and photograph. Relaxing and calm. It's a little bit of a walk from the ferry stops, but it's flat and near the beach. Supposedly...More

A visit to this lighthouse may likely prove somewhat of a waste, from my understanding the only way to see the interior is a private visit in which you require some sort of monetary offer. Otherwise the only way we could access the interior was...More

This is one of the iconic symbols of the Toronto Islands. It is the oldest existing lighthouse around entire Great Lakes. Lighthouse is a stone structure nicely built beginning of the 19th century. It is 25 m tall.

If you're visiting Centre Island, you might pay a visit to the Gibraltar Point Lighthouse if you're a lighthouse enthusiast as I am. It's a bit of a walk from the Centre Island dock, but to me, it was worth the walk. It's not a...More

This is an attractive stone lighthouse near the south shore of Centre Island. Besides being one of the oldest structures in Toronto It's also supposedly haunted, though all was quiet and peaceful while I was there.
