My overall experience was excellent with my treatments, however once it was time to pay for the services, the blonde receptionist at the front was having an emotional breakdown and crying hysterically, another co worker was trying to speak with her and trying to clam her down. I was very concerned for the well being of this individual and hopefully... More

By Far the worst spa in Toronto - nothing more to say - quick review for those who will want a classy place. Wish I could rate less than 1 star

I give my whole experience a 2.5/5. In retrospect I wish I had took the time to read the reviews more closely. My loss, your gain. I booked the "Friends Brings Benefits" package for my birthday - which included a massage, mani/pedi, lunch, glass of bubbly and access to the waters. I am vegan so because they couldn't accommodate a... More

I gave it a 2 star rating because the facial that I received was great. However, I was told the day prior to come in 30 minutes early for the Relaxation Room. I arrive early and it was not in service because they drained the water. A phone call to let me know would have been great so I didn't... More

Worst spa ever! First off it takes the receptionist 15 minutes to come back to you after putting you on hold once your call had been answered. Second the massage therapists and Estheticians have no clue what they are doing! It was the worst manicure, pedicure and massage I've ever received in my life. The place is dirty. There were... This salon, at first glance is aesthetically pleasing however that's where the fun stops. I was greeted and upon my arrival asked to pay tax on my services before I even started. When I inquired as to why, I was met with the response my nails would be too wet upon my departure to collect the money (so if I... More

We went to the Pantages location yesterday as a group of 6 for the 'Friends Bring Benefits' package for a Bachelorette party. This included lunch, glass of bubbly, a relaxation massage, and a manicure and pedicure; which for the price they were charging, I had expected some high quality service. It was requested when we booked that 2 of us... More

Amazing tranquility package with body scrub, body wrap and then hot stone massage...105 minutes of relaxation - I was a new woman by the end of the treatment. Highly recommend the professional and pleasant staff at its reception and the masseuse too. My only regret was not attending sooner during my stay and then going for a second vist.

I travel to Toronto from Montreal on Business and like to fit in a massage when I can. Yesterday I went to the SHIZEN SPA for the first time and absolutely LOVED it. The Spa is quiet and clean and the staff is very friendly. Edward was my massage therapist and he was amazing. Thank you for a wonderful 2... More

Yesterday morning I went to the Japanese "Shizen Spa" at the "Cosmopolitan Hotel" (a boutique hotel on Colborne Street) and enjoyed it immensely. As soon as you step out of the elevator you already feel you are in Japan. I was welcomed by the receptionist who asked me to fill out information regarding my health so that Amy, my masseuse,... Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
