Woody's has everything you'd want in a gay bar: friendly and efficient bar staff, lively atmosphere and a good show. Plenty of handsome men make this a place gay travelers enjoy. We visited Woody's after first being lured by a drag show at a nearby bar, which turned out to be an awful show in a dingy bar. But Woody's... More

Been visiting this bar for 9 years because wonderful bartenders, particularly David and Cameron and all the wonderful patrons I have met and made friends with. Also, on Friday for the free pizza.

We visited this on what was a very sad day. The day after the Orlando massacre we went to Woodys, and it was really great to see people still turning out, even despite the uncertainty. They did however do a one minute silence and that was really moving. Anyway, the bar itself is actually a lot bigger than I thought... More

Every time I come to Toronto I am sure to visit Woody's! A fully stocked bar with very knowledgeable bar tenders, who by the way aren't bad on the eyes ;). There is always something exciting happening at Woody's. Its the most fun that can be had out of bed!

Visiting from out of town. Our friends took us here on our last night - four straight women in a gay bar with a drag show! Freaking awesome! Great entertainment value and lots of very cute men hanging out. Thought we would stay for an hour but ended up staying about three hours. Georgie was our favourite!

I came across this place after coming here for a Haloween party and I have feel in love with is place ever since! This Place is truly something different than any other bar/lounge or even club I can say. First thing is first the service is absolutely exceptional!! 10/10 every single time. It is all very good looking men working... More

Gorgeous guys, awesome music and real friendly. No wonder it is the busiest hang out in The Village.

Seems to me , that a bar should have some sort of food . I was happy to cross the road and buy a can of cashews . Wine was downright awful Drinks were weak You go to the bar and get your own drinks Bartender was friendly and advised us to get a good seat to watch the show... More

Some friends dragged me to Woody's, and it was a great bar, quite big, so many rooms, really friendly staff -- props to Dan -- and decent drinks (the four, rather than five, stars is simply because the drinks seemed kind of weak). Lots of spots to sit and hang out. This is like definitely a bar I would go... More

Best bar in the Village, and has the best looking bartenders. Joe is, in my opinion, the most handsome and friendliest bartender I've ever met anywhere. To the Dutch men who were angry because their friend looked too young to get in, don't blame the bar for that. If you are young looking, carry id with you to avoid drama... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
