Great pub with great beer selection

Just what you would expect from a pub. Nice atmosphere, lots of beers on tap. There were 10 of us and we had reserved a table. Fun choice for a night out with friends

And when I order prezels and dips, I expect prezels and different dips, not half a plate of salad and tomato slices and only two prezels with cream cheese. By the way the prezels were exactly like in Germany so why not putting one more on the... More

Went to this place by chance walking on way to the theatre. Great service .. Great food .. of course Great beer selection .. and most of all .. Great and fair pricing. Very quiet and relaxing atmosphere .. Definitely a place to re-visit on any future outings to the big city.

We stumbled upon this place while walking around exploring the city. It seemed like a busy place so we thought we could give it a try. We sat on the patio. The tables were small but big enough for what we ordered. The beer selection was amazing. I had the chicken schnitzel and my husband had a sandwich and fries.... More

We stumbled across this amazing place while looking for somewhere to have a drink before going to a show. Our first visit we just had a couple of drinks (hard to choose from the selection) . Thanks to a great knowledgeable barman Ian we stayed for a drink and good conversation with him. 2or 3 weeks later we went back,... More

We got the last table on a very busy Friday night, the Town Crier was loud, crowded, and extremely lively and we loved it. The beer selection is huge with lots of European choices. The food was good and despite the crowds the wait staff were very friendly and efficient. We were upstairs but downstairs looked to be more interestingly... More

Went with friends who recommended. Did not disappoint. Enjoyed the beer selection. Food was high quality, ample serving and tasty. Would ask them to consider adding beer flight as an option so I could try more types of beer. Service was fine. They serve good old fashioned pub food but I had lamb shank that was excellent. Also at our... More

Over 50 beers on tap. Nice cozy spot that didn't seem as touristy as most of the places on the same street. Just went in for a quick drink before a movie but will be going here again when I have more time

Great selection of beers and a set of very knowledgeable staff who helped us decide the right beers for our tastes. Brilliant atmosphere and was the highlight of our bar visits all night

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
