Whilst on a walking tour of Toronto, we made a brief stop at this park, after visiting St. James Cathedral. Our guide explained that part of the park covers an area where cholera pits were used for burials following a serious large outbreak of the disease in the 19th Century. Parts of the park provide a relaxing refuge from the... More

Beautiful city park in the summer. The flowers in the gardens are changed regularly. But have to say Watch out for the homeless!

We visited while walking about the city and on our way to St James. On the day we visited there were no events, provided an opportunity to photograph some flowers, watch people, and rest for a moment. Nothing special from our perspective, but am sure it's a great place to come out and relax if living in the city.

It's a great little park in the middle of the city. If you need to just need to take a break from it all, there's plenty of bench seating around or just have a seat next to a tree. There's also the St James Cathedral right next door.

Its a great little park, next to St James Cathedral which has amazing architecture. The park is small, but nice and a great place to sit (when its not snowing and cold). Its right next door to the Holiday Inn Express as well, so you are close to a place to stay if you need it.

Everyday they feed the resident pelicans of St. James Park about 2 p.m. The pelicans come right out of the water onto the shore and it is so interesting to see how they hold the fish in the pouches under their mouths. Definitely worth a visit to see the pelican feeding. We loved it.

This park is not considered a destination of any sort for a traveler. It is a park that residents use the sidewalks as shortcut to their destination or a place to walk their dogs. There is a gazebo that housed some homeless people overnight, but it was a terribly rainy night, so that may not be a normal occurrence. Despite... More

To all the parks workers who keep this looking so pretty an oasis in the busy Toronto downtown .Being a visitor to the city myself and my friends stumbled across St James Park while walking from the distillery area and sightseeing .It was a welcome place to sit and enjoy the park, watching the black squirrels running around and people watch... We were fortunate to be staying across the street at the Holiday Inn. On Thursday evenings during the summer months there are free concerts in this park. Bring a blanket, beach towel, or folding chair and you can sit and enjoy the entertainment. As an added plus, there is a wonderful gelato place right across the street, so you can... More

We passed through this park a number of times, especially going to and from the various markets in town. I thought it was a beautiful location; not overly huge, but well adorned in magnificent flower beds that formed the backdrop for many photos of the visitors that day. I noticed at least one wedding (or the photographs following the wedding)... More
