A really funny evening. Great entertainment. Good assortment of drinks and snacks to order from your seats. I've been before as a couple, and attended this time in a group and we did the dinner/theatre package with Wayne Gretzkys restaurant (attached) which was very convenient. Excellent entertainment. Great value for a fun night out!

I'm in Toronto for business and was looking for something to do on Saturday night. I wasn't sure how comedy and sense of humour would translate but I figured for the cost it would be good experience in a different country anyway. Brilliant night out. No weak links in the cast, drinks were good, service was good, show was hilarious... More

OMG, I love to laugh. We all do! There's no better place to laugh than Toronto's Second City. My wife and I have enjoyed Second City here in Toronto since they were in the Old Fire Hall location and people like Martin Short were on stage. The current show "Come What Mayhem" did not disappoint. The characters were excellent and... More

I have seen multiple shows at Second City and I thought this one was quite hilarious! Definitely not for a younger crowd or the very old. Some of the humor was borderline offensive but as long as you keep an open mind and remember it is JUST a show, it was extremely entertaining! Very witty skits on current events. And... More

First of all, if you are single, they don't treat you well. Second, Second City in Toronto is awful, the actors in the show three weekends ago were just plain bad, no creativity, no characters. They were just themselves doing weak sketches. I didn't laugh once, and I left early, because it was so bad. The sweet potato french fries... More

This was a really fun night out. The short sketches were very topical (only a couple were lost on me due to being British) and the improv sections were very strong. Is a really laid back vibe- there were 2 of us and so we shared a table with strangers but that helped to make the evening more special. Reasonably... More

Took my husband out to dinner and then Second City for his birthday. It was well worth the dive into the city and a perfect night out. The laughs kept coming. Best value for entertainment in the city. We made a note to go more frequently. A fun addition was a vendor with snow cones making them for free outside... More

Staying in Downtown West

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
