My boyfriend and I both had a really great time, me of course because I'm a chocoholic and him because we visited and tasted things other than just chocolate, he especially enjoyed the gelato. I liked that many of the stops were not places I had heard of, or ones that I likely would stop in on my own, I... More

First of all our guide Irene was warm, knowledgeable, funny & made this day fun! The food was amazing. I would do this again. Irene took us on a variety of places. Definitely attend on an empty stomach. We had a fun group too!!

As a foodie and food writer, I'm almost duty-bound to keep myself abreast of various goings-on in the Toronto food scene. So in a unique break from what I usually do, I sign up for this food tour. And it was a treat! The tour, pleasantly conducted by the cheerful and lovely Audrey, goes through the Kensington Market area. We... More

The tour was a fantastic way to taste the hidden gems of Kensington market and learn more about the food and the area along the way. I went with my two daughters (8,11) and they loved the treats but also learned about some of Toronto's multicultural foods and history along the way. Audrey was well versed in the area and... More

This was such a lovely tour! The fun part is not knowing where you're heading to next. The tour guide provides a brief history of the business which makes this little adventure even more interesting. I'm looking forward to my next tour...so is my tummy! :-)

Audrey was a great host, sharing interesting and entertaining info about the production of chocolate. The event was well organized and the small group made it feel very intimate. Highly recommended. Leroy

I joined the Sweet and Savoury Tasty Tours based upon a recommendation, and was very pleasantly surprised by how much I learnt from this tour. I have always been a big fan of good food, and I could not believe I had been oblivious to all these unique local spots and locations all this time. Big shoutout to my tour... More

Was really disappointed with this tour. While the tour guide knew her stuff, the tour fell really flat. It was boring and long and less focused on chocolate and the refining process, etc., than anticipated. Most of the stops had nothing to do with chocolate except that they happened to sell a chocolate product of some sort. The tour itself... More

Took my best friend here for her bachelorette party! We had an amazing time. Audrey was our tour guide. She was so knowledgable and taught us a lot about food and Toronto! Would definitely go again!

Went with a group of friends for the sweet and savoury tour of Kensington Market. Food was good overall! Poutine was amazing, as was the churro, the other items I would rate as good. Audrey was knowledgeable and friendly. She did a great job yelling over the loud music from pedestrian sunday. She had interesting stories and spoke of the... More

Hi! Audrey here. I think we've had an unfortunate miscommunication. I had actually mentioned at the beginning of the tour that although it is a common practice to tip on walking tours if you had a good time, I wanted you guys to NOT tip, save your money to buy extra goodies, and to leave a review instead if you... Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
