A great way to spend an afternoon without having to spend a lot of money (or no money at all if you chose). Take $20 with you to bet on all 10 races ($2 bet/race) if you want, but you don't have to. We enjoyed an afternoon out as 2 couples. We ate in the "Favourites" Dining Room, all you... More

Had a great time this afternoon at the race track. Very exciting watching the race. The adrenalin from the crowd was intoxicating.

When at Woodbine, try out Champions on the third floor of the track. Grab a table overlooking the turf course and enjoy a great view of both the track and NW Toronto. Limited menu, salads and hot sandwiches, my fave is beef brisket on a bun. And you never know, you might get the ponies to pay for your lunch.

This was our first visit to the Queen's Plate in 4 years. Wow, things have really changed. It was very disappointing to discover that general admission at the gate means you have no seat unless you want to sit indoors and look at the tv screens. At $30/seat, this was rather upsetting. For this special occasion, I expected that we... More

Champions patio is covered by a large canopy- is sheltered from sun or rain. We attended on a recent Sunday afternoon in very hot humid weather and found the patio a healthy respite; it is wide open to the exterior , shaded and breezy. Our table was right at the finish line - we had excellent vantage of the race... More

Went to celebrate a birthday at Woodbine tonight at Woodbine Racetrack. Made reservations for Champions Patio. (Took 20 minutes to get through on phone.) Party of 6 and took 15 minutes to get our waitress to take our drink order. Finally got them and ordered an appetizer for immediate delivery and gave her our dinner order and said "no rush".... I visited the track, not the slots, and I found it to be a nice racetrack. First, get to the track half an hour early. Buy the full program, study it for a while, then go down to the indoor stable/paddock fifteen minutes or so before the first race and study the horses. They parade the horses before each race....
