This was our second tour with the Culinary Adventure Company and was as entertaining and delicious as the last. They ordered up the perfect evening for a leisurely paddle to Centre Island and through the channels. Calm and smooth water, the perfect temperature and a full moon to boot. On landing, we were given some free time to wander through... More

I read about this tour and knew it would be perfect for an anniversary gift. The tour itself was great with a fun canoe ride (although in a group so not challenging or intimate at all so don't join for romance). The food was delicious and other than not providing a dessert or gf bread, I could eat everything else... More

Ian demonstrated his great relationships with the vendors on this tour with behind-the-scenes access in the kitchen and an impromptu dance lesson! Excellent food and compelling insights into the Little India neighbourhood.

My wife and I took the Little Italy tour with tour guide Ian. The food was great and wine and Sake were included in the package. Not only was the food delicious, the tour director Ian was fun an very kowledgable. Our group consisted of 8 people so we got to know and enjoy everyone. Ian a former restaurant owner... More

Alright we own a canoe. We use it occasionally. We also eat outside occasionally, just seasonally opposite of our ultra polite friends in the Queen City. So this type of outing is old hat for our family. This was recommended by the concierge at our hotel. So I figured it was a cash grab, short the tourons(tourist+moron) kick-back scheme. Well,... My aunt and I went on the VIP tour of the St. Lawrence Market, and what an amazing tour it was. Ian met us outside with croissants, we headed inside for coffee and then walked around the neighborhood for a little history of the area. Next we headed back inside for the most delicious treats that just kept coming. We... More

The food tour was great and included some delicious cuisine. Kevin, our guide and owner of the company, was very knowledgeable, obviously passionate about what he does, and a lot of fun.

A nicely paced walk through a historic part of Toronto that I would not have gotten a chance to know. Delicious Mediterranean lunch with nice stops at bakeries and fish shops. Nice people. Friendly, interesting tour.

We had Brian who was very knowledgeable and friendly. We toured around outside and in close by areas learning about the Market and the area and how it has evolved. Lots of take away information. Food was very good and fun to eat. Bring an empty stomach! Also bring some money for tipping as we completely forgot. Sorry Brian!

The St. Lawrence Market Food tour was filled with great food from the market and interesting facts about the Market and the historic district. This tour with Ian gives the best information about Toronto. This tour is not to be missed.

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
