We really enjoyed the tour of Kensington Market and Chinatown. We live in Toronto and it was a great way to learn more about the neighborhoods and to find some new places to eat that we'll definitely want to go back to.

Let me start by saying that I didn't know that Prince Edward County had so many amazing wineries! But thanks to the Culinary Adventure Company my wife and I were able to discover some incredible vineyards and bottles of wine. This is a full day tour with plenty of food and wine to keep any person happy. The day starts... More

We so enjoyed this experience walking through old town and learning about the history and stories that have shaped Toronto. Ian was an excellent guide and offered great information which made for an interesting and memorable time. Great tastes of the market. They make sure you sample a number of vendors, from appetizers to dessert. We were almost too full... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our food tour, which whilst focused on St. Lawrence market incorporated a walking tour of the surrounding old Toronto area. The tour was filled with fun facts and anecdotes, and once we got down to food business it encompassed all the highlights of St. Lawrence market. The guide was funny and affable and was able to answer... More

On a visit to Toronto, my boyfriend and I booked the morning tour of the St Lawrence market and I highly recommend it! We were the only ones on the tour and our guide was excellent! We ate several types of delicious food including some Portuguese chicken pastries, chocolate covered strawberries, a breakfast sandwich, croissants, a bagel, and a charcuterie... More

We were visiting from the UK and were looking for something away from the usual tourist traps. The tour was a great way to see a different part of the city with a great walking guide. Our guide was very informative and said we should have emailed ahead for some restaurant recommendations showing true hospitality. We enjoyed all the places... More

This tour was a surprise gift and we had no idea what to expect from the tour. Our tour guide was Ian Risdon and with his thorough knowledge of not only the city and the history of the area, his experience within the culinary world gave us special insights into the culture and all of the amazing flavours that comes... Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
