Took the boat package, with Peter, whom was a wonderful and funny guide. He took us to all the falls, and got us on the ship to see the water up close. When we were done, we went to the village for ice cream. Lovely Cow milk ice cream.

Whenever touring an unfamiliar city, I buy the 2-day hop-on hop-off pass, the City Pass book, and a city transit pass. The Toronto Hop-on Hop-off did not disappoint us, lots of good info about the city. Was on 6 different buses, and they each did not let us down. We stayed at the Doubletree Downtown, so the Dundas-Yonge Street boarding was convenient.

Wonderful experience. The tour guide was great, the winery amazing and the falls spectacular. Lunch at the Sheraton was good, nothing to rave about, but when you have to cater for as many people as they do, it was fine. Be careful if you are planning on having an alcoholic beverage with lunch; by the time they add taxes and gratuity your bill becomes a lot larger than you first expected. 2 glasses of NZ wine set us back $52.00. Apart from that the trip was amazing.

I have used City Sightseeing buses in many cities and have always had a good experience but this one was terrible. The buses were supposed to be running every 40 minutes but we waited an hour and a half for one at one of the stops. One bus we were on broke down and the next one along was 20 minutes late. We only have two days to explore the city and half a day has been wasted. I would not recommend this experience to anyone.
Also, the winter price is the same as the price in the summer when the buses run more frequently and a boat trip is included - they should offer lower prices as the service is not as good.

The bus is a great way to get to points of interest without having to fight the traffic. We rode with 3 different guides only one of which seemed to be able to narrate without reading from their paper. Many times they were talking about places as you passed rather than telling you ahead of time so you could be alert to watch for them. One guide was so busy reading their paper people could not get his attention to ask questions.

We always use these buses if visiting a city for the first time. We stayed on the bus for the whole route just to get our bearings and then deciding where we would get off. The entire route takes two and a half hours depending on traffic and your ticket is for two consecutive days. Well worth the money and the info given by the staff on the buses are really interesting. We made good use of our tickets and would definitely do this again.

Even though I visited in the off season for many tourists the tour and tour guide were still very good. I planned on doing the tour for two days to give me a good warm up of the city but the first day I couldn't figure out how it went and where the stops were. The schedule is a little different during off season and the 1st day I called the guy operator wasn't that helpful in telling me where to go. He said the closest stop to me was #13. What is stop #13? I had no idea. So I made sure by the second day I was in Toronto that I did the tour since I had prepaid before flying in. I called the main line so many times lol. They only did three rounds of the tour. I enjoyed for the most part. The tour guide was very good and friendly. I hopped off at the Casa Loma around 12:20P and since it is off season they came around every two hours. This was on the second loop for the day so I HAD to be back at the stop by 2:20 to get back on because that was going to be the last loop for the day. That didn't give me as much time as I wanted in Casa Loma so I would say that this is the only downfall if you do this during off season. During the last loop I hopped off for the final time at St. Lawrence Market. Next time I'm in Toronto I would definitely do this tour again no doubt. It will just have to be during peak season when the bus comes around more often.

On the bus the guy was trying to make everyone scream wave carry on making it uncomfortable for us who do not want to make any trouble. The boat ride was not good. Hey staff I am not 'toast' as the bartender said and also the rude loud threatening brown brearded guy workimg the boat who said same. Due Diligence here - I have a medical condition. Do I appear the be toast? Meaning stoned or drink. Canadians are not as nice and polite as they would like everyone to beleive. The bearded guy screaming and slamming chairs. Well we are intimidated. Oh and I dont appreciate being told how to thank the staff after the trip. The bearded tough guy demanding I do some kind of hand gesture as I walked the gang plank. I said thanks and smiled but blackbeard would have none of it me called me a goof for not obeying and being intimidated. Not so nice Canada.

We took the hop on hop off bus tour and it was one of the worst. we were never notified that it was no longer called Gray Line , now owned by City Sightseeing Toronto. Therefore, there was confusion as to where to wait. The first tour bus that we took was a heap of junk and should be given to the junk yard. we sat downstairs , as I cannot climb steps and the audio was practically non existent. Some people from our group, sat upstairs and they too could not hear. The air conditioning was no good and the floors, were covered with wooden planks. The inside walls of the bus were peeling and a disgrace. The next day, we caught a newer bus and thought that we would be able to hear and be cool. we again sat downstairs, and Rebecca, did not even ask if we needed air buds for the audio. She gave us the buds, but did not explain how to use the audio system. We finally got them and we were able to hear. However, the air conditioning on the bus, was not working correctly and it was very uncomfortable. Again someone from our group went upstairs, and said it was not any cooler, due to the sun.
Tourists have no choice, but to use this bus company, since it is the only one in Toronto.
If you do take the bus tour, make sure you get a new bus!!

My son and I took the full bus tour of Toronto today. The guide was friendly and humorous. However, the tour was less than inspiring and having been to Toronto on business over 50 times, I don't think it shows the best of what Toronto has to offer. I have done hop on/hop off tours in numerous cities in North America and Europe and this was the weakest one. Suggest you find another way to experience the great city of Toronto.
