We did the walking tour September 24th with family. Our guide Josh was very informative, personable and funny. He showed us a different side of the distillery through photographs and his commentary. The tour held a special significance for us as our Dad worked there until the distillery closed in 1990. Also had a very nice lunch on one of... More

Hi catherine, That's really cool that your dad worked here as one of the last 36 employees on site, the Distillery District has done a wonderful job of preserving much of the heritage and we're glad to tell the story and connect with people like you that have a personal collection. If you'd like further documentation, check out the Distillery... More

I enjoy the distillery district, so I was very fortunate that my family gave me the gift of segwaying with Go Tours Canada for my birthday. I loved learning the history of the distillery area as well as being given a lesson about the local chocolate maker and boutique brewery's beers. My instructor and guide should be given special credit.... More

Hi Miriam, It is pretty easy, isn't it? We try to emphasize how easy learning and then actually touring is on the Segway so we're always happy to hear it works. See you again and keep in mind we hire in the Spring ;-) More

We took a walking tour on Sept 24th, it was great, very informative. Josh was funny and knowledgable about the Distillery District. The beer tasting was nice, looking forward to the whiskey tasting in 2018. We live in Distillery and wish we did the tour earlier! Thanks Josh!

We're stoked too for the new distillery to open here and it's pretty safe to assume it'll join our roster of tasting options. See you around the Distillery! More

We are just back from the Distillery district tour and I was really impressed with the knowledge, activities provided by Go Tours and the look and feel of the area. The Segway tour, beer tasting, Saki tasting, Oil and Vinegar tasting and Chocolate tasting were part of the tour. I highly recommend doing them all, along with a walking tour... More

I bought this voucher as my wife is chocolate lover and the ad entices you with a tour and sampling of beer and chocolate which I thought we would both enjoy. The tour was very interesting and our tour guide Mike was very knowledgeable showing us around the district. We were very disappointed when it came time for the chocolate... More

Hi 77brian1313, If you were looking for a tour focusing on food, we would have gladly taken you on our Distillery Deluxe Tasting Tour or recommended another company like Tasty Tours who actually offer a Chocolate tour. Our Classic Distillery Walking Tour is a historical tour with the added bonus of a complimentary tasting, not a tasting experience, which is... More

Fancied a tour around the Distillery District in Toronto without the walking so went for the segway version. Was able to book online for the 30 minute tour for myself and a friend. Easy to find using the 514 Streetcar called Cherry. Guides were friendly people. We spend about 10 to fifteen minutes practising on how to use the Segway... More

Our first activity upon visiting Toronto on vacation was a limited-time pop-up Segway tour of the African Savanna section of the Toronto Zoo. The Go Tours team hauled their Segways out to the zoo for special Saturday night Zoo tours after hours during the summer. This was an outstanding way to see the zoo since it covers a large area.... Just recently went to GO TOURS as a birthday gift and was a bit apprehensive as to what to expect We did the Ghost tour of the Toronto Distillery District on Segways and had a blast. We had a brief orientation on the machines (20 Min Approx) and were ready to take on the tour. Josh was a great tour... More

We had a spontaneous tour with Josh on a Thursday afternoon. It was about 30 mins and was fun and informative. I've been on two of these tours with these guys and it's always fun.

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
