We recently held a "Wellness Afternoon" for our management team at Healtwinds Spa. The event was not only extremely well executed by the staff at Healthwinds, but Kailee Kline was extremely accommodating to us throughout the organizing of the event and the day itself. The facilities are clean, well equipped, soothing and very well maintained. Lunch was provided to us... More

When you go to the spa, one expects to feel welcomed and relaxed. After a long and stressful week, I booked a massage at this spa. Upon arrival I was encouraged not to change in a rob and was not told to take advantage of the facilities (shower, steam). Furthermore, I was not even offered a beverage. I don't have... More

Virtually anyone with ten digits can hang a sign and claim to be a spa. For discerning people, those who appreciate being touched on physical, mental, emotional and even spiritual levels, then this is an epicentre of well being, renewal, refreshment, rest and rejuvenation. The owner is hands on, often at the front welcoming people. Her warmth infuses the space,... More

I have been working a lot lately and have been finding myself quite stressed from work. My husband insisted that I go to a spa to relax and just get a way from it all. I decided to go to Healthwinds as I've heard great things from my girlfriend who goes there religiously. I went for an hour massage, manicure... More

I was very excited to try this spa. I finally waited for 8 weeks for my next facial and made an appointment. Receptionist was very nice, spa is very nice, welcoming and warm. However, I did not like that I was not told to change into a robe or use the steam room/sauna. I came in 15 minutes early and... More

I have been having issues with my back and a friend recommended that I visit Healthwinds, and they certainly lived up to my expectations that were set based on feedback I heard. When I called in to make an appointment, they were very friendly and able to fit me in to work around my busy schedule, which really helped. As... More

Upon entering Healthwinds, the reception area is bright and lovely with a juice/tea/snack bar and a shopfront full of all kinds of spa soaps and sundries including robes, flip flops, scented epsom salts and essential oils (I really enjoyed looking at and testing these products). Beyond the doors and into the spa waiting area, it is relaxing and zen-like, flanked... More

Staying in North End

Neighborhood Profile
North End
The North End is a nucleus of specialty food restaurants and shops, especially around its Mount Pleasant Village area. Frequented by antiquers for its numerous collectable shops, furniture spots, and oddity stores, the North End is a maverick of the quaint and quality. Vintage toy stores, accessory shops, and cinemas welcome perusers to step back in time, while the wide pedestrian squares and the large medical and business community inject it with a dose of modernity. With numerous cafes and Toronto's greatest number of independent booksellers, it isn't uncommon to see folks in this area at their leisure, reading outdoors and in eateries, and taking life a bit more slowly – even if it's only during their lunch break.
