In the spirit of other markets around the world Kensington Market is a place to visit if you like things a little different. It is reminiscent of Camden Market in London and there are shops and stalls to get things like hats or sunglasses. There are also stores selling vintage clothes and food from around the world too. One thing you will see here that you will not see in London is the dispensaries where you can buy cannabis. It's legal in Canada but make sure if you do want to buy something that you have your ID. One of the things I loved was the street art which is in abundance on walls and also on the roads as well. There is also a car there that has become art. It is covered with different designs and has plants growing out of the windows too. Superb! Go and check it out. You may come away with an opened mind.

Unfortunately we visited the area too early in the day. Most of the shops were closed and the area was pretty deserted with none of the vibe that we had read about. We still enjoyed walking through the eclectic neighbourhood with colourful shop fronts and Victorian row houses. I'd definitely suggest an afternoon/evening visit.

Over the weekend I had chance to finally visit Toronto. I asked some locals about things to do in there and everyone suggested going to Kensington Market. I love this place because it was just average type of flea Market but you had a variety of different stores and restaurants. Rather you are looking for trendy fashion or thrifting. The food restaurants available were all over the place and they had some really great sweet shops. Also enjoy all the street art and murals all around.

I think Kensington market is an acquired taste. It is home to all kinds of offbeat shops, bars, people and artwork. It reminded me of the Northern Quarter in Manchester and the Baltic area of Liverpool much nearer to my home. I liked the zaniness but not my wifes cup of tea

Loved the area to explore. Was very bohemian like and relaxed atmosphere. Colorful area with many restaurants and beautiful, colorful, prints of clothing for sale. Numerous people selling their very nice made merchandise.

Tons of little shops food and entertainment to check out. We drive up from Niagara Falls to check out the city and we heard this was a must see. A lot of local vendors and vintage clothing shops. Glad we made the trip!

This is the multicultural hipster neighbourhood of Toronto. Quirkly second-hand shops, lovely decorated cafes and unusual flower pots can be seen in every corner. There are signs and posters with love is love and it seems that all people respect each other. Everything is so colorful and there's so much love in the air. I liked the Victorian houses on the tree-lined streets so much that I don't want to withhold these pictures below from you. Wall paintings decorate the houses and authentic shops characterise this neighbourhood. Simply stroll around leisurely and take a big breath of Torontos multicutural area. There are times when we have to mix more colours in our life.

This is the place to be in Toronto for a lot of vintage shops in close proximity. We're big thrifters, so we enjoyed this area. Your mileage may vary. It's a fun, vibrant, artsy, and not quite as expensive area of Toronto.
