We booked the "Beer Makes History Better" tour in Toronto and it was absolutely amazing! Our tour guide Jordan was so knowledgeable about Toronto's history, beer history, and the history of beer in Toronto! I would highly recommend this tour for people who want to tour Old Toronto, try some local beers, and learn about the history behind them!

I got a Groupon for a friend's birthday gift -- I wanted to go ahead and set the dates before giving it to her, but their website had no upcoming dates available. I reached out by email and phone, got an email response saying the dates would be posted in the next week. Two weeks later, still no dates I followed up - nothing. I followed up once more - nothing (not even a response for the latter two attempts). Needless to say, I had to request a refund from Groupon. It's a shame because I love local food tours and had I liked this one I would have certainly booked more and recommended to others. Poor customer service goes a long way.

Hello, and thanks for your review. I want to first apologize for the break in communication and not being in touch about the tour you wanted. Over the course of the winter we re-assess our tours and make adjustments to the schedule and the tour in particular you bought a Groupon for (Cool Toronto: Queen Street West) is one that we are not offering on a regular basis to the public going forward as it has seen to few bookings over the last year. When we spoke in the phone I had not yet made the final decision and there was a good chance that it would have been added to our schedule of public tours, but we will be offering it only as a private tour with a different cost.
I should have advised you to request a refund right away, but I’m in the business of pleasing customers and not disappointing them. I’m very sorry that In this rare instance I was not able to get back to you in a timely manner about this change. This was entirely my fault.
I have taken on a new operations manager so I won’t be a “one man show” when it comes to fielding customer inquiries any more and can promise this won’t happen again.
Please feel free to reach out to me directly at jason@torontourbanadventures.com as I would like to offer you something to make up for all this.

Did the Canadian Food Discovery tour with my boyfriend, and it was a lot of fun. We're both locals, but we learned a lot of history and fun facts about the city from Jason. He was very knowledgable and knew all the best spots to visit!

Tour with Jason
Fun, educational , personal
Learned lots about redevelopment, Canada’s relationship with First Nation, food, beer, life, art, urban wildlife
Tour includes stop for beer or great coffee and fresh made donuts and restaurant for tasting and we ended up at Sweaty Betty’s
( drew barrymore ) hangout with more beer and pickle shots. Try them - you will like them
If I could give it rating of 12 would do it

Very good guide, talking very low, giving lot of good information and making it fun! He stays at the end for questions and he suggested the best thai restaurant in town. Highly recommended!

Our walking tour with Jason was wonderful. As it turned out, my husband and I were the only folks to show up for the tour. Jason was a trouper and led us on the tour of Kensington Park and Chinatown. His knowledge and storytelling were excellent. He shared a lot of insight into the art of the neighborhoods. He introduced us to new fruits in the chinese market. He was so personable. The weather was beautiful. A wonderful way to spend a Sunday morning.

Booked a tour on a Sunday, I was the only one there. Mike showed me around kensington and chinatown, besides telling me something about the many cultures found there, he taught me a lot about Canadian culture in general. He showed me some real hidden gems and introduced me to the big selection of cuisines in this area. All 'n all, great tour, great tourguide.

This was a really great tour, with Jason leading us around the downtown area explaining the history of Toronto and Queen St W. Found out about some great places that will definitely make you feel 'in the know' when you take friends back there!

Great walking tour, got to see a lot of the city and learn about the history of Toronto's neighborhoods as they've changed over the years. Cool stops at local shops and restaurants and great storytelling by Jason, who's passionate about his city and knows it all!

Hi Georgie, I would certainly recommend taking a tour with us on a he first day you are available and the Kensington Market & Chinatown tour is what I would most recommend to get to understand what Toronto is all about. If you would like more details I would ask that you email us directly, and we would be happy to help with other recommendations! -Jason
hi i have one week in toronto want to see cn tower and lots of other place for a visit . hopefully next year do the Rockie train tour . as i am staying near niagara falls what no bus service in to and fro ,please

Hi Swaran, if you are staying near Niagara Falls you are more than 100km away from the City of Toronto. I would suggest staying only 2 nights in Niagara Falls ON, and the rest of your nights stay in Toronto ON.
To get from Niagara Falls to Toronto, I would suggest taking GO Transit (Government of Ontario) as there are buses and trains leaving at nearly all hours from Niagara to Toronto and back. It’s the most affordable way.
Just use Google to search “GO Transit between Toronto and Niagara” and you will see the schedule and fare cost.
The GO Station in Niagara Falls is not near the attractions so you would have to take a taxi from your hotel to the station.
Cheers!
hi its my first visit to toronto i have booked near the falls how far i am i from downton toronto ??

If the "falls" you are referring to are Niagara Falls, they are in Niagara Falls, Ontario, a city about 130km or a 90-minute drive by car down the highway from Toronto, Ontario. Traffic can be bad in Toronto during rush hours in the morning and late afternoon that can make your trip closer to 2 hours or more by car.

Hi, could you tell me how much beer is included into the price in Small-Group Toronto Beer Tour?

You pay for your own drinks along the way, so drink as little or much as you want/can. Some food is provided along the way and the final stop in the distillery district will have some free samples for you to try, and they buy if you like them.

I am stopping over at Pearson airport on May 13 and I have about 7 hour layover between the flights. Any advise on how to get to Toronto and best places to see within the time frame. My flight is scheduled to arrive around 3:30 pm and leaving around 10:30 pm. Thanks.

Hi
By the time you get out the airport the traffic will be building up, a cab is around $70 and at that time could take up to an hour, coming back later will be around 25 minutes.
Alternatively you can get the number 52 bus Westbound along Dixon Rd to Lawrence West Station, go in to the building and down to the subway and take the Southbound to Union Station, this is the closest station to the CN Tower. If you take a quick look at a Toronto map you will see the name of all the stations and can choose where you want to get off. The ticket you get on the bus will cover you for the subway too, all for $3. Toronto is a great place, enjoy

Thanks for the kind words Frederick! Hi Aigo! Unfortunately our scheduled Urban Adventures begin before your arrival in Toronto. However, our sister company, Tour Guys may have some public tours scheduled in October in the afternoon. Check their website a few months before your arrival to check the schedule. Tour Guys can also be hired for private tours at $60+tax per hour if you want a guide to yourself and make the most of your time in Toronto! - Jason

I agree with maggie441 - a great walking tour and so informative about the migrant movement and changes in the area as well as great tastings in Kensington Market area - we also found the information regarding street art very interesting. I thoroughly recommend Urban Adventures tours anywhere in the world - have done quite a few now - latest being New York Tenements, Tastes and Tales.
