This was a great place to enjoy a sunny afternoon in Toronto. The beach bit was lovely, the floral areas gorgeous, and even while there were loads of people there, it didn't feel overcrowded. The ferry wasn't expensive, and I was able to get the ferry over to the Centre Island and then walk round and get a different ferry... More

Toronto Island is a great place to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. Centre island is the perfect spot for family's. A theme park with rides. Beautiful flower gardens. A maze. A nice sand beach with wave breakers, so swimming is safe for younger children. As well you can rent bikes or bikes for 4 people and two... More

I like going there in the summer time. You can check out the mini zoo even if you're not a kid. The park is huge and really nice. There is also a small beach there. You can walk over to the other islands up to Wards island. It will take some time but if you are a nature lover, you... More

Back when kids were smaller (early 2000's) would take them by ferry for the entertainment then off to the lovely beaches. Nice place on a sunny summer day.

The Toronto Islands (there are several) are fantastic for a day trip. Its a short ferry ride (not expensive) across the Toronto Harbour to Centre Island Which is attached to Ward's Island and Algonquin but not attached to Muggs Island which has the Island Yacht club. There is a Marina and other yacht clubs, you can visit Centreville which is... More

For a picnic, swimming at the beach, a bike ride or a relaxing afternoon laying on a blanket under a tree: the island offers it all.

it may not be a tropical island but I would say it's close enough to have many activites to do here. There are beaches, there is an amusement park, a great place to walk around. Plenty of greenery. Great for taking pictures and just having a fun day. Make this trip a day trip with the kids! Let them run... More

A day at Centre Island is an excape for everyone. Whether you go to Centreville with children or just picnic in the park, it is a great way to relax and kick back. It is totally family friendly and kids actually get to play and run without restrictions. I would recommend it to anyone, especially apartment dwellers who want to... More

Had a great time visiting this over the summer. We took the ferry out at night just to see it and had a drink at the little bar while listening to some music. Cool place with good views.
