Great kiddie rides for young ones! My little 30 month old found and enjoyed 10 of the rides! Beware, the carousal goes a bit fast and can be a bit overwhelming for the very young. Theme park good was ok, $10 for a burger, fries, and drink. You may be better served bringing your own, especially drinks as if you... More

It's hard to find kid-friendly activities in an urban area, but for a short ferry ride away, this did the trick. You should buy your tickets online, they are a bit pricier in person. And definitely do the full day pass. Most rides cost several tickets and you'll end up spending the same. The rides are suitable for small children... More

Great place to go with kids, they love the rides and the island is beautiful. Explore the island by bike or go for a nice walk.

My family loves this place! We started when the kids were very little and every year we think is our last, but our kids insist on returning...now they're 10 & 12. There are still some great rides (with almost no line ups) and the whole park is shaded by trees. Lots of food choices and a skip over the bridge... More

I have been coming to Centreville for years, love it! Great for all ages, even up to 14, My kids at this age still like the bumper cars, bumper boats and the Scrambler etc. The biggest improvements, are adding lots more picnic tables and especially benches close to the rides, so the parents have somewhere to sit while waiting for... My 5 year old son had lots of fun here. He was big enough for most of the rides except for the ones on the water. The water rollercoaster was his favourite, but we lined up for almost an hour for it and only had a chance to do it once. There were significant line ups for most of the... More

What a lovely little amusement park. Not at all tacky. Lots of families brought coolers and enjoyed the many picnic benches. It is charmingly timeless. Everyone seemed to be having fun.

We visited Centreville Amusement Park in July with our 1.5 years old child, and especially for him, it was an experience with lots of fun. First, location. It is in Toronto Islands, where the access is via ferry, and it's a plus itself. The park has not entry fee, simply you can pay for each ride you enjoy. Every ticket... More

This is a great little amusement park for families with smaller kids. The island itself it an awesome place to visit, especially to get away from huge crowds.

Awesome. No admission charges. Wristbands are cost-effective for all-day rides. Concessions are a bit pricey, but they allow you to bring your own food. Rides kept the kids entertained, and the crowds weren't bad for a Friday. Lots of shade throughout the park. It is a fair hike from the ferry dock, so little legs might get tired earlier in... More

Staying in Downtown West

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
