Opened in 1914, the Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) showcases art, culture, and nature from around the globe and across the ages. One of North America's most renowned cultural institutions, Canada's largest museum is home to a world-class collection of more than six million objects and specimens, featured in 40 gallery and exhibition spaces. As the country’s preeminent field research institute and an international leader in new and original findings in biodiversity, palaeontology, earth sciences, the visual arts, material culture and archaeology, the ROM plays a vital role in advancing our global understanding of the artistic, cultural and natural world. The Renaissance ROM expansion project (2007) merged the iconic architectural heritage of the original building with the Studio Daniel Libeskind-designed Michael Lee-Chin Crystal. A distinctive new symbol of Toronto for the 21st century, the Crystal marked the beginning of a new era for the ROM as the country's premier cultural and social destination.

Every visit is an amazing experience for the entire family. Especially young kids. My children love the dinosaurs to this day and have seen them countless times.

I have been to a number of museums over the many years and this is just slightly above average. For the price it is a good price and has a nice hands on area. It seemed that most of the dinosaur exhibit were not originals....More

Very unique and beautiful. I only spent about 10m - 15 minutes perusing the installations. Spent another 30-40 minutes roaming through the iconic exhibits in this magnificent building. You could easily spend several hours. Found it a bit pricey at $29.00 - but I guess...More

Beautiful building design filled with more than a day's worth of enjoying! There was a very interesting special exhibit on Tattoos and the regular collection on dinosaurs and Rome were both amazing to see. Something for anyone on a couple of rainy days!

Love the ROM. Again used CityPass as everything in Toronto as everything is $$$$. Would like to see more at the Rom as I'm sure they have a lot of items stored away.
