I wandered into Spacing while exploring the wonderful building at 401 Richmond West and discovered the absolute best selection of books on Toronto anywhere for sale. History, architecture, social changes and more. As well they had an extensive selection of our favorite TTC buttons and pillows. Spacing actually started as a magazine 15 years ago, specializing in Toronto and urban issues. The Sept 2017 issue I am perusing at the moment has articles on Comic Books with Toronto locations, the future of parks (and not all will have grass) and a review of a book called The Toronto Public Etiquette Guide which is about local etiquette such as “Stand right, walk left”. This is a must visit if you have any interest in the development of our city and the choices we make as citizens in the future. Spacing is conveniently located down the ramp on the lower ground level by the east entrance, next to a coffee shop and a gift shop. I am definitely going back.
