The bus tour is a great value and was extremely well-organized. After researching several tour companies on multiple websites, we decided to book with Chariots of Fire because of it's fantastic and consistent reviews - and I'm so glad we did! Had we not booked a tour, we would have had to rent a car from downtown Toronto, deal with... More

Wonderful trip to Niagara from Toronto. We covered a number of stops and had the opportunity to visit the Skylon tower, go on the Hornblower boat trip and visit a winery also. We also had lunch in Niagara on the lake, a beautiful town. Inclusion of water, snacks and some cookies was also a nice touch :) Mel-our tour guide-was... More

Do not take another tour until you try chariots of Fire Niagara tour with melvin. We've been on a thousand tours worldwide and this was the best and certainly the most informative tour. Melvin... Outstanding, thank you.... Rob n Tania

Great value for money with Mel the bus driver who was extremely knowledgeable. Plenty of photo stops and just enough time at each stop. Lunch was preordered and collected at the very picturesque village of Niagara on the Lake. Great day and would definitely recommend this company.

The tour guide was very nice and knowledgeable of the areas and their history. The tour allowed for a non complicated and enjoyable experience. The many stops were beautiful and the recommended lunch was very tasty. We had a 4 year old child with us and even at that we had little to no complications. At the wine tasting grape... More

Due to being delayed in a huge traffic jam, we missed our original tour. With no phone to inform them we were not going to make it, we feared the worst and thought our experience (and money) were lost. When we were finally able to contact them, they couldn't have been nicer - they rescheduled our family of 5 for... More

Mel was our driver and tour guide. He was awesome! It was so hot, but he always had cold water ready for us. The information and music he shared along the way was informative and entertaining. I learned more than ever, and saw so much beauty taking this tour. I definitely recommend it. It was worth the early morning, and... More

We visited Canada from the Bahamas last month for a family wedding/reunion and, of course, had to see the Falls!! After much time spent searching for a tour we settled on Chariots of Fire Ltd. with the boat trip on the "Hornblower". The ride to the falls was very informative and entertaining as our guide, Mel, gave us a run-down... More

The tour was really nice and worth every pence. Our guide was nice and well informed, making many jokes along the way. He also told us very interesting stories as he was a local from St. Catharine's. The only thing we would've preferred was to start the trip a bit later at around 9am, instead of 7:30am as we had... More

Thank you for the good review. I know that it's an early morning, but we are trying to beat the morning traffic, have time for the tour, and then beat the evening traffic, so that you spend less time traveling. I'm glad that you still had a good day. More

I'd highly recommend this tour. My friend and I had a great time. The tour guide is very friendly and educated on the history of the area. His stories kept us entertained for most of the drive to the falls and made the trip seem to go quickly.

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
