Was really excited to see Canada's Walk of Fame and all the stars...in comparison to Hollywood's Walk of Fame. A bit disappointed...

Location is right in front of Royal Alexandra Theatre...however, it only only goes for 2 blocks (both sides of the street). Unfortunately not as well maintained as some of the stars were faded or cracked. Easy to miss unless you are looking.

Glad to have gone and seen the stars on Canada's Walk of Fame (singers, song writers, actors, sports, etc) - Celine Dion, Donald Sutherland, Wayne Gretsky, Bryan Adams, Dan Aykroyd, Christopher Plummer, Michael J Fox, Canada 150, Shania Twain, James Cameron, Sandra Oh, Pamela Anderson, Eric McCormack, Ryan Reynolds (his star was faded), Howie Mandel (oh no! his star was cracked), Nickelback, Paul Schaffer, Brendan Fraser and more.

It doesn't take that long unless the stars are distributed on other blocks that I may have missed.

We noticed this on the guide map and included in our walk of the city. Recognised a few familiar favourites and some folks i didn’t even realise were Canadian oops.
It was interesting to have a nosey along and its near to the Roy Thomson Hall.

Nothing here to really write home about, it’s hardly a great sight to see. We found it by accident. I wouldn’t recommend going out your way to find it.

The Walk of Fame consists of bronze plaques of famous Canadians with their name and signature on the sidewalks that are adjacent to Roy Thomson Hall. They are located on the West side of Simcoe Street between Wellington Street and King Street West and on both sides of King Street West between Simcoe Street and John Street. The newer plaques are in better shape than the older ones. If you are looking for a specific person, the Canada’s Walk of Fame website has a map featuring the location of all the inductees.

We literally walked over this. The time it took to consume this was about 30 seconds. Obviously it’s a positive point of interest but don’t plan your trip around this!

Unfortunately it’s not well advertised, so I had to use Google Maps to find it....and still had trouble finding it. I believe it lists the address as 62-66 Simcoe St which isn’t entirely accurate. It’s actually partially on Simcoe (the left side of the street if you are heading up from the harbour) and then it turns left onto King St in front of the theatres. Some of the plaques are cracked, but otherwise it was nice to see some of our famous Canadians from various industries, not just entertainment.

We managed to squeeze in a quick visit to Canada’s Walk of Fame since it is only a short walk from Metro Toronto Convention Centre where we attended the 2018 Ontario Universities’ Fair. The first time we saw the stars was in 2013 and entirely by chance. We were walking along Simcoe Ave (Roy Thomson Hall) and happened to notice the stars on the sidewalk. They looked nothing special and I remember we did not even take any pics. This time I thought about giving them a better look, I checked Canada’s Walk of Fame’s interactive map online so I knew beforehand which 3 sidewalks have all these stars. After lunch at a fast food joint along John St, we headed north and crossed the intersection at King St W.

We did the north side of King St W first and recognized quite a lot of names, like Bryan Adams, Christopher Plummer and Michael J. Fox. We then crossed the street to walk on the south side and recognized more famous Canadians...Ryan Reynolds, Steve Nash, Alanis Morissette, Mike Myers, Terry Fox, to name a few. We then headed south of Simcoe Ave (west side) to complete our self-guided tour. Surprised to see no star for Keanu Reeves or Avril Lavigne.

This most recent visit to Canada’s Walk of Fame unfortunately did not change our first impression. This is hardly a tourist attraction and the stars are really sad-looking. They are just ordinary tiles on the sidewalk which on closer inspection have etchings of names and signature on them. Some are more faded than others, a few have chipped edges, 2 are even broken in half. I had to kick a few cigarette butts away so I could take some decent photos. Not worth visiting unless you are in the area and have nothing better to do.

I walked along Canada’s Walk Of Fame on a Monday evening. I thought that he Walk fo Fame was going to be located in front of the TIFF Bell Lightbox, being as it’s the cornerstone of the annual Toronto International Film Festival. But it turns out that it was located in front of the adjacent Princess of Wales theater and eastbound. There are several names and I recognized including Bryan Adams, Celine Dion and Cirque du Soleil. The walk of fame wasn’t nice at all though. It was like a regular sidewalk, but with plaques spaced out here and there. I’ve never been to the Walk of Fame in Hollywood, but I know that it’s much better.
