We were visiting in November with little to do and so glad we saw the sign for the museum. It is housed in a beautiful building. There is ample parking. There are 3 themed floors. There has been no expense spared to make first rate...More

The museum has a display showing the First Nations inhabitants from 10,000 years ago chronicling ancient history up to present day. Unfortunately, it hasn’t changed in 30 years. From time to time there are interesting temporary displays on the upper floors.

We went with 2 grandkids and found the place to be entertaining as well as informative. The local history and exhibits are great. The kids thought the dinosaur floor was good too.

The kids thought it was interesting. It's a tiny little museum with a very small gift shop, we were disappointed with that part. We enjoyed our visit and spent about a half hour looking around between the three floors.

The museum was really well planned out and does a good job of explaining the history of Thunder Bay. The video about women in World War II was especially interesting.

I do not normally like museums... this is a JEWEL. Very interesting with excellent displays. A few old devices that I had never seen before... and I am old :-) $3.00 admission... worth double that.
