Really great experience riding the antique carousel in Port Dalhousie, near St Catharines, Ontario. Located near the beach there is ample parking, kids playground, parks, sandy beach with wheelchair access using mats. The carousel is authentic dating back to 1903 and has both stationary mounts and jumpers ( up and downers my grandkids call them! ). Beautifully restored this ride... More

I take my grandchildren here often over the summer and at 5 cents a ride you can let them on as many times as they want. I was here today August 22 nd 2016 and had a good look at the carvings as it went around. Fantastic figures lovingly restored.

There was lots to do for every family member, the food was excellent and lots of fun things to see! Ending with a spectacular fireworks show! The family thoroughly enjoyed themselves!

Great for the small ones as well as parents. It is well maintained by volunteers and is still only five cents a ride. It is one attraction that my grandchildren want to go to when they come to town to visit. Right on the shores of Lake Ontario.

This classic carousel is just as beautiful as when I was a kid. And YES a ride still only costs a nickle. It still plays the old classic music and there are donation boxes available for contributions. It used to have the history of the carousel posted inside. However, sadly, I noticed a few years ago it is no longer... More

Great for kids, still 5¢. There is a nice park beside the carousel for extra fun. There are nice restaurants near by for breakfast and lunch.

We had made special plans during our trip to Saint Catharines to experience this Carousel. We had even carefully packed a bunch of nickels! But when we got there, it was closed for maintenance. My son was SO sad!!

Lovely carousel, well-cared for and popular but not full during our visit. Lots of horses of various colours, benches, other animals (lions, camels, rams, giraffe, etc). History of the carousel lines the walls, and even the garbage cans are painted beautifully to match. The park itself is right on Lake Ontario with a nice beach and ample free parking. Of... More
