There is nothing like steering your vessel into this lock, then being lowered to join the waterway below. It is quick, efficient, and a remarkable experience from aboard your boat. Lovely landscaped setting below with interpretive centre. If you come by foot or by car,...More

Quite a view once you get to the top of the lock. It gets really busy on the weekends when the weather is nice so be prepare to wait if traveling in your own boat. Other then that a must see for sure.

Great place to visit. It is absolutely breath taking looking out from the top of the Lift lock. I also recommend taking a boat cruise and experience going through/down the lock. Quite scenic in the fall as well.

Booked this for my wife's birthday party -- about 40 family members came from all over the states and Canada -- the Lift Lock was a new attraction for them -- and they really found it very fascinating!!!

Did the tour from little lake through a small hand operated lock , then trough the hydronic lock. An amazing afternoon . We have done it twice and would do it again.

You gotta' kind of be into lift locks. Not lap dogs, Merlot or jet planes. Lift locks. This is a grand beast of an old lift lock, kind of steam punk without the steam or punk. Good place to let the wee ones run around...More
