(Great for kids) Don't come to this zoo with the hopes of the Toronto zoo. It's free. Understand that. Great for kids, there's a park and splash pad. There's a gift shop with tees and sweaters to buy. Animals range from tortoises to camels. Fun to walk around for an hour or so. Have fun!

The best part about this park and zoo is that it is FREE! We took our children there often when we lived in Peterborough when they were young. It's not so big that the kids get bored before you are done checking out all the exhibits. Our guys especially enjoyed the mini-zip line they had for the kids near the... More

The Peterborough zoo is outstanding!! With animals from camels to monkeys and there otter exhibit there is something for everyone. Couples looking for a date or picnic, great for kids, or just wanting to see and learn about all kinds of animals. The zoo itself is FREE thanks to Peterborough utilities. The staff are friendly and the park is well... More

This park/zoo was well laid out with a wide range of animals, a children's play area, splash pad and lots of shade. It's free but they do accept donations. The only disappointment is that the meerkats and otters weren't available when they went, but in each case, it was only temporary. A great place to spend half a day!
