great for cross country, hiking, swimming

Part of the Grand River Conservation Area this excellent park has it all - walking, hiking, cross country skiing trails, plus a beach and lake for swimming.

Campsite was not at all as described. We booked site 201 in area 2, which was listed as grass ground cover, no grass there. We had to pitch our tent on dirt. Privacy was listed as good, but another fire pit was maybe 10 yds away. Zero privacy. The showers were horrible, water spraying everywhere, pressure way too high, and floor drain... More

We were visiting the area with our 10 and 12 year old who were not use to 28 degree weather. This was a great place not to far away to go and cool down. The washroom facilities were clean and there were plenty of picnic tables with shade. Take some float and toys with you and bring your picnic.

This is the first time we took a Seasonal site. Was really concerned about a couple things. First, I had heard that some parks were very clicky. Second, I didn't want to feel like I was on top of my neighbors. I haven't enjoyed a summer as much as this since I was a kid. The people are very friendly.... More

A hot sunny day, this is the perfect way to cool off and have some fun. Reasonably price, great lake with lots of sandy area and shallow for young kids to go in. Lots of picnic tables around, trees for shade. Small food shack. Volleyball court and open space to play as well.

My son and I went to Pinehurst for 1/2 a day to do some canoeing and fishing. The park is wonderful quiet small spring feed lake surrounded by large mature 100ft. pine trees and other large deciduous trees. The trails beach and facilities are very well maintained. Lots of wild life such as turtles and blue herons. I would recommend... More

Nothing too fancy, but for us it's close to home with decent campsites and a nice little beach for the kids.

The water is usually always warm and the fishing is great! The only thing is, the water isn't the clearest. That doesn't matter though because it is a lake!

Went here to get out of the heat. Shallow water which is nice for small kids. You can sit on the grass or sand. Small Concession stand, and bathrooms right by. We only used it for the day use area, so not sure about other facilities.

Our experience at Pinehurst, although brief, was very enjoyable, The bathroom facilities were clean and security drove by with good regularity The park itself is a very accommodating size, not too big or too small, and the staff at the front gate were efficient and helpful. Overall, Pinehurst was welcoming, attractive and reasonably priced.
