Limited menu, but everything was delicious!

Service was prompt and friendly, spent time providing recommendations on our specific tastes. Both of us ended up having pasta dishes which were every penny we paid. The ambiance... read more

Went to have a drink while waiting for a table at the Keg. Had our appetizers here and a beverage. A lot of choice on the beverage side. A large selection of wines whiskey and beers. The bruschetta was absolutely fantastic and the Calamari was excellent. Quiet quaint and comfortable.

Service was prompt and friendly, spent time providing recommendations on our specific tastes. Both of us ended up having pasta dishes which were every penny we paid. The ambiance is a bit dark, but their beer selection and server's knowledge on such was immaculate. Worth a try for a high quality meal or for someone into micro brews and international... More

Located in the lower level of the building the facade is field stone and rustic whiz seems appropriate for a restaurant that features a large assortment of wines by the glass. My husband and I arrived at approximately 9 pm. The sign said wait to be seated - so we did as instructed. The server who eventually acknowledged our existence... More

My wife and I were intrigued by a sandwich board on the sidewalk outside this Bistro. It said "$12 fries with a side or of steak". What a great find in the Byward Market. I had the advertised special(8oz sirloin with fries and Caesar salad($12 as promised) and my wife chose a stuffed chicken with rice and garden salad($21). We... More

After a long week at work, it was quite the surprise to let my friends take me out and not have any say in the matter. I am sure glad I gave in! At first I was intimidated by the extensive wine list but felt reassured when I went up to the bar and talked to the bartender about what... More

The food wasn't overall the best. The portions could have been a bit more as it wasn't really filling. The bar was quite interesting though. Haven't been to a type of restaurant where you need to go up to the bar to grab your own liquor. They had a vast amount of alcohol that could be chosen from a menu.... More

In the middle of the ByWard market. this location had 3 restaurants. We ate at the Fish market restaurant. The food and service was very good. The Conch soup was delicious with a mild kick to it. the smoked salmon was fresh. The fish (halibut)and chips was a little greasy(as expected) but surprisingly for a fish restaurant they did not... My first evening at Vineyards was really kind of magical. The decor is not only inviting but also beautiful. The ambiance is oh so comfortable and the staff are welcoming and informative making the whole experience much more meaningful. The icing on the cake was the live jazz that filled the air just around dessert time.

I will not go back. Wine by the glass is a joke; for the bloated price, you only get HALF a glass of very mediocre wine. The food is nothing special either. A rip-off.
