These trips are great fun. Exciting rapids, educational stories, sensational views of the city, swimming (if you want), paddling, cliff jumping and more. A great fun and safe way to spend your morning or afternoon in the national capital.

Did the 3 hour family rafting trip on the Ottawa River with our multigenerational family including 2 eight year olds, their parents, and us, the grandparents. Felt very safe doing this activity during Covid.
Our family of 6 were given our own raft which usually can hold 12 people. Our guide Emmy sat at the back about 6 feet back.
Boat had a motor which she used at various times, so paddling was not too intense. We went through 3 rapids and had opportunities to leave the raft for body surfing, cave jumping, lazy river floating and swimming.
Drinks were provided.
Life jackets and helmets
were sanitized upon exiting.
Our group had our own van to shuttle back to our car. There was plastic between the driver and passengers.
It was a really fun day for both adults and kids.

My family did not know what to expect when we booked this awesome adventures. My moody 13 yr old exclaimed at the end of the trip "It was unexpectedly fun". My 10 year old loved the whole thing. I don't swim and am typically scared of water but loved every moment of this trip - you don't have to jump into the water if you don't want to ... but I did the lazy river which was so refreshing. Make sure to go to the bathroom before you head onto the boat. They do provide water, juice or pop on the ride. The crew was funny, bright, fantastic and accommodating.

They provide everything, life jackets, helmets, drinks and transport back to the where you parked your car. Highly recommend this adventures

We scheduled a rafting tour Friday, Sept 23rd. They cancelled without notifying us. Apparently, they ended their season early??? it would have been nice to know as we came from Portland, Oregon. No attempt to notify us. They did refund after we called them and said reservations was to notify us. They didn't.

We did the Ottawa City Rafting excursions with Wilderness Tours on a very hot summers day. We were a family of three including an 8 year old. The tour lasted 2.5 hours and we were all surprised it had been that long. The rapids are not adventurous - we had been rafting at Beachburg previously - but they are fun, and there are plenty of opportunities to jump off and swim in the Ottawa River - including a natural "lazy river" stretch and a rapid surf which was pretty exhilarating. I was too chicken to do the rock jump but almost everyone else on the trip did - jump off a natural rock ledge into the River. The guides were energetic and friendly - telling jokes and engaging all participants (there were four rafts in total). Their knowledge of the history of the Ottawa River was interesting - and it gives you a very different view of the city and downtown. Would recommend anyone who likes nature, swimming and a little bit of adventure when travelling.

We had an amazing time today! Was a great morning on the water and we all had fun! Both our 6 and 11 year old had a great time! The 3 hour tour was perfect. The kids loved the clift jumping and floating down the river.
Our guide was friendly and gave some great history about the river and the area.

We made some great family memories today! Can't wait to do it again!

A great three or so hours rafting down the Ottawa River. We have a seven year old, a twelve year old and a fourteen year old. They all enjoyed the tour, particularly body surfing, cliff jumping and bridge hanging! The guides were all great and even the history bit held the children's attention.

We booked Ottawa City rafting to satisfy everyone in our family - including teens looking for some fun, a Mom who loves the water and a Dad "not so crazy" about water activities! I'm happy to say that we all walked away with smiles on our faces and a few great stories to tell from our afternoon rafting trip. Zoey was our guide and she perfectly judged that our boys would be looking for a bit more action - which she definitely ensured they found with body surfing on the rapids, "cliff" jumping, swimming in the "lazy river", trying their hand at paddling from the guide's position and telling a host of jokes that they have already re-told several times! It was the perfect mix and we would highly recommend this trip to anyone looking for fun, a bit of Ottawa history, an opportunity to get wet in the river and an easy intro to rafting on rapids.

The guides were friendly and knowledgeable.
This was about a 3 hour tour. I always felt safe. From the beginning, this is a tour that requires rowing roughly 40-50% of the time.
There was some minor rapids to paddle through.
Twice we were able to get out of the boat and float downstream. The water temperature was perfect. There was opportunity to jump off a cliff from places at about 8 feet, 12 feet or 20 feet.
If you don't do the cliff jump - be sure and take the next opportunity and do the dangle from the bottom of the bridge.
We loved the trip, the sights we saw, the things we learned and the tips on other good places to visit and to eat locally.
