We visited the Nepean Museum last weekend and it was a hit. The museum is small so it won't take long to go through. There is no admission fee (donations accepted). Our children (age 6 and 8) enjoyed the various activities (ie. the scavenger hunt through the museum and the Bingo game where they had to find items in the museum). The staff on duty was very friendly and brought out "old fashioned" toys for the kids to play with, We stayed for about an hour. The museum also offers programs for the children during the summer and throughout the year -- our children enjoyed the program and as parents, we enjoyed the price (3 hour drop off program for $6.50 - where else are you going to find that value!) This little museum is truly a hidden gem and well worth a visit.

For years I was curious about the Nepean museum. One summer day my wife and I went. I'm a history buff and both of us were impressed with the historical pictures and artifacts that were there. It was facinating to see the "old" Ottawa/Nepean through the ages. A very informative trip.

i found the exhibits well laid out and interesting. Small museums are an important part of our national heritage and this is a good one

While I'm sure the museum is doing the best it can, it's super little. We went through it in about 5 minutes. I think it was free though!
