Took grandkids from teens to 3 and there was something for all of them. The dinosaurs were a hit with all. Lots of interactive screens to read. The special display had stamps to collect so the game was on to get all 6. The small ones love the animals and their habitats. The eggs of assorted sizes and colors amused... More

Some of this hasn't changed much over the years. I remember the mammals and birds from when I was a kid 40 years ago. My own kids are teens now. They had a great time. Everything is well laid out and educational, the building is still spectacular, but, the best part is still the two full floors of dinosaurs. They... More

We visited in early August to see the mineral gallery. It was sad, so very sad. This museum's mineral collection and display are in a neglected state. Despite having spent millions of dollars on mineral acquisitions including the Pinch collection, the few display worthy minerals are shown only as an adjunct to a general geology gallery. There are perhaps no... More

I've gone back to see the collections twice-- well laid out spaces and the collections are displayed in manner that makes sense. The museum attracts many parents with their little children but still great for adults.

A smaller scale experience not unlike the American Museum of Natural History but more intimate, sophisticated, and beautiful.

The exhibits were well done and there were many interactive things for the kids to do. The insect section was good too.

Out of all the sights we saw on our recent trip to Ottawa this museum is one that I would not put on our must do list. If you have lots of time go there. But there are many other sights to see that are much better.

We were with a group. The Museum had an interest for everyone in the group. From Totem Poles to the larges piece of Gold foound in Canada. We spent 3 hours touring the museum.

Museum is free for general admission after 5PM on Thursdays. Lots of hands on for kids. Great Museum for all ages. Special exhibit The Dinosaurs showing right now, but at extra cost. Parking after 430PM is $5.00. One of the best deals for families in Ottawa
