We went biking along theses well kept paths and it was beautiful. Between the forest and the river it was a very relaxing and enjoyable bike ride.

Whenever we go to west end Ottawa we try to take the Parkway. This scenic route always offers fresh vistas and is a very relaxing way to traverse the west end of the city. There's always something to see: geese, rapids, bike trails, more geese....More

The bike paths along the Sir John A parkway run along the Ottawa River and this is one of the most scienic and safest bike paths. Just watch out for people and dogs who stray in front of the bikes approaching them from the back!!

We chose to drive along this lovely riverside road instead of the freeway and it was so beautiful and relaxing.

Coming to Ottawa this is the way to go. Great views along the river. You can also walk along it which is great for a stroll.

From it's humble start on Carling Avenue in the west end, take the whole parkway into Ottawa or Gatineau across the river into Quebec. Only a few years ago or so this was known as the Ottawa River Parkway and many locals will still refer...More
