Tickets for the free tours of the Parliament buildings can be obtained here but they go very fast so line up early. Be sure to grab a copy of the self-guide booklet called Discover the Hill to better appreciate the many attractions within the Parliament, including monuments and public art. If you are carrying a big bag, be sure to... More

I signed up for a free family tour of Parliament with them on a weekend. The line was 7 people long but the staff were quick and friendly.

For tourists, this may be a good first stop to organize your sight seeing in the city. There is information in English and French and the staff are very helpful. Close to many downtown hotels and across from the Parliament Buildings.

This should be the first place you visit if you are a tourist in Ottawa. The staff are so informative and helpful. There are tickets available for lots of attractions and that is where we got our free tickets for the Parliament tour. Bus timetables, maps and so much more. The toilets are in the basement and there is a... More

The ideal first stop on Ottawa to find out info. Not least because I couldn't find a single guide book in England which covered Ottawa at all!!! Helpful staff.

We came by this place for a lunch break after our cruise at the Thousand Islands which was spectacular. It was around 11.45am when we arrived. The Capital Information Kiosk, which I would regard to as a Center, is a one-stop service center for tourists or visitors to obtain all the information about Ottawa and its key attractions. Not only... More

Located directly across from the hill, this is where you can get free tickets to tour the parliament buildings. Tickets are only available for the current day. This is a 30 minute tour is well worth it. Note you can't bring in large bags but smaller bags can go through the airport like security on the hill.

I live in Ottawa but when I am downtown and looking for something to do or wanting some information, I stop in and talk to the staff...they are very friendly and have answers.

How can the nation's capital downgrade its major tourism information to a "kiosk"? This is such a race to the bottom and another indicator how Canada is losing its place in the world. Go to any major city in the world -- London, Berlin, Melbourne, etc. etc. and you will find they have excellent tourist resources for those visiting. But... More
