From the historical point of view the buildings are something to see and visit. Much to learn about the previous centuries and also interesting museums hosted by the university (like the museum of classical antiquities). As a learning center...that is another story.

The buildings are beautiful on campus and its nice for an afternoon walk, as cars cannot reach most points of the campus. As an institution, its rankings speak for itself they are somewhere in the middle for just about everything. In the four years I attended this university I would say that there was never a time that no construction... More

Do not attend. It's great- beautiful, awesome people, great profs-- but the administration there is ridiculous. I can't speak for any department other than Social Sciences- but it is almost impossible to get a hold of them (expect to sit on hold often), they are extremely rude, they aren't helpful (school is hard enough without hidden deadlines). IF you send... More

I came, I went, I got papers that have not improved my life. Architecture like a post apocalyptic concrete nightmare. Student dormitories are terrible. At one time there was a bar, but student's didn't know what they had. A downtown campus where the University was intentionally split up to ensure no student activism on the nearby Parliament hill. This has... More

Nice university, lots of intelligence here, lots of pavillions, I would not like yo be student over the winter. You walk everywhere, leave your car at home, better to travel by bus, parking is very expensive, they patrol and give tickets. There is a great array of foods here and there. Everything is expensive, tuition, coffee, transportation, books and food.... More

Ottawa University prides itself as being a strong school that offers great learning programs and help centres. As a Telfer student that has attended there for 2 years I can honestly say that is NOT true. It seems to be that the programs and professors care more about a student’s tuition money and getting paid than to care whether the... More

Campus tours are well organized, they show you all aspects of the University experience (if you have somebody looking that way) and parking was free. Worth booking online so that everything is organized

This is one of Canada's bilingual universities. The buildings are a mix of great limestone traditional style and new modern buildings. The student population comprises many English and French speaking populations within Canada and across the globe. Nearby, you can enjoy great coffee shops and cafes!

Whether you're a student or not, walking to and through the buildings is interesting, especially as it sits in the middle of Ottawa, and accessible to and from everywhere. GO.
