Located in downtown Oshawa (Simcoe Street), the history of the automotive industry is wrapped up in the history of Oshawa (and General Motors). It is not a glass and steel building but gives a sense of history even in the building itself. There are many unique cars on display, many unique Oshawa cars, the history of McLaughlin-Buick (go Canada!) and... More

First off, "Thank You" for allowing tourists to take photos!!! I am sure the McLaughlin's would be pleased to know that Canadians are interested in the vehicles they built and are allowed to come away with some memories in the form of photos! You can see their motto, "One Grade, and that the Best," in each and every vehicle. We... More

I visited the museum with my son and daughter. It was really hot outside and I had hoped that the museum would be air conditioned but it wasn't. With that being said, it wasn't at all unbearable inside. My son was very interested in all the write up for the various cars. My daughter took many pictures. We all enjoyed... More

Thank you for the nice review. Air conditioning will be installed in 2017 as part of the museum's Canada150 infrastructure improvements. We plan on being a "cool" place to visit during future summers. We look forward to seeing you again. More

Hidden Gem less than an hour fromToronto. Local Student Graham, toured and impressed us all with his wealth of information on the facts and history of this unique collection of automotive wonders. Well worth the price. A must see!

I am so amazed with the Vintage car collection. You can really see the evolution of the Automotive Industry. From what started as carriages with gas tanks and engines to two-seater to five or seven-seater old cars. What a sight to behold! I know that Bombardier invented the Snow Mobile, but there is another forerunner to that in the form... More

Had a terrific time! Young man gave us an informative tour that showed us the rich history of a town built by GM. Wonderful old relics that seem like you are walking through time. Seeing how the automobile progressed from horse drawn carriages to cars as we know them now. Affordable and informative. Young and old will enjoy this history... More

This little automotive museum is incredible for car-buffs of any kind. Very affordable entrance fee -- no frills, but wonderful cars. Well worth the drive to Oshawa for just this museum!!

A wonderful collection of cars from all eras as well as many other historical curiosities. Well organized, well presented and thoroughly enjoyable. Both the quantity and quality of information available were a pleasant surprise. Friendly, willing and helpful staff as well. A visit is definitely recommended.

I enjoyed going to this Museum, seeing each set up complete with car and items of the same era. Really well done. Worth a visit even if cars are not your thing. Good for all ages.

Spent a great afternoon at the Oshawa Automotive Museum, very friendly and knowledable staff, especially Nigar! You were encouraged to take as many photos as you wanted,no hassle,a great place! Most of the vehicles were from a bygone era and no longer in production, like a steam driven car and one adapted with skis for snow! Famous names like: Buick,Pontiac,Oldsmobile,GMC,Cadillac, were also on display!... More
